Thanks Doug! It apears to be ceramic and has a textured bottom, works great and fits perfectly in the palm.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20180730_131540.jpg

Prep: shower with C&E Vetiver bath soap, pre shave soap mix
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Big Ben (2nd shave)
    Brush: Yaqi 26mm synthetic
    Soap: Razorock SMDF
    Post: Arko Maximum Comfort balm

Today's shave accidently turned out to be a budget shave, most expensive part is the soap. Not completely sold on the performance of SMDF since I'm not usually a big fan of Italian soaps, but this shave went fairly well. The pre shave added a bit more menthol and felt wonderful. Finished off with Arko Maximum Comfort, a decent balm that could be had for a good price and is a nice sized bottle. Hope everyone had a swell shave!

Tonight's shave was with a well Respected razor, that's bit me several times, but not today. I had a perfectly smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. Zero issues, and a very well made razor.

Razor- "Respect 4". Best Silver Steel. Extra Hollow Ground. Germany.
    Brush- Stirling Boar
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Florida Water

Looks like your I Coloniali is reaching the bottom of the barrel. Too bad it's discontinued since it's a great product.

    July 30

Razor - Type E Schick Injector
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Stirling Electric Sheep
Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic
    Post - Alum

Second night with the Type E Schick from @CarlfromMO . I grabbed the Stirling Electric Sheep to get my mutton tallow fix. The scent on this one shouldn't be one I like, but I do. Lots of citronella and eucalyptus. It's startling, bracing, and fun, and the after shave feel is just marvelous thanks to the mutton.

Three pass shave again because I was enjoying it way too much. The baby is in the house again after a smooth shave that couldn't have gone any better. I don't remember the Type E that I have used before being this smooth. The finish on it is not as perfect as this one so maybe that's part of it.

One more day left in July! I'll have the August thread up either late tonight (Wait, it's already late) or early tomorrow. Keep those July shaves coming!

    07/30/18 – Traveling - No Shave ☹
A very long drive back to Michigan obeying all speed limits - I think I must have been the only one! Stopping at chargers along the way did not help and although fast, these stops deceptively added significant time to our travels. I figured roughly 5 stops maybe 40-60 minutes each plus 21 hrs of straight speed limit driving would have been would have been maybe 26 hrs total but it took us closer to 36! This had to be the longest drive ever! I tried to not go too fast in a red car, and I guess I was too successful! Even with traffic delays of probably a couple of hours, something did not seem to add up. I am not sure I would do this again with the whole family, but it was my first long trip with an EV and sort of an experiment. Everyone has recovered and they don't hate me, so I chalk this one up to a family bonding experience!

She sure does. Very nice shine my friend. You certainly did well Tim.

Yeah, if it wasn't my car, I don't think the owner would have been happy with me poking around the hood. I try to keep "Ruby" shiny, but after the long ride from MI to Florida, she was a bit dirty. Not enough to try shaving her though! After the long ride back today, we both could use a bit of a clean up. She'll get a complete detail this weekend and restored to a BBS!

Terry, you better bring a rope because it sounds like you fell down the hole my friend. It becomes very additive trying new or different things!
Don't worry though, there are plenty enablers here to help provide more rope. Enjoy your discoveries.

It was inspiring when someone put a red flower motif in a little white jar on a yellow leaf on a new stone pillar work placed by the pond in a park, as an objet d'art, and by happenstance found inclusion in a shaving gear picture . . .

Good morning friends. A fine three pass shave today with the Schick N1 loaded with a twin blade. Excellent slick, rich lather from the Tabac shave stick. I finished with Old Spice, smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺
