Ray, my adjustable have been collecting dust since I got my slant.
It gives a closer shave, but at the same time it doesn't seem to irritate the skin at all.

I had 6 adjustables. 4 slims, 1 black super adjustable, and a fatboy. The slant kicked all there areses. At the time they were my favorite razors but I still didn't get a great shave from them, only good. I would use the term here but you get my point:D

Bong, got the blades today. Many thanks. I was expecting like 4 or 5 blades and you sent me about 15. I held off shaving today in hopes those sharp edge 7 oclocks would be here today. BTW nice way of sending them. I am going to do that next time, much cheaper than boxing them.

Have you tried the sledgehammer slant yet? I busted mine out again yesterday and wasn't as impressed with it. Almost seems to heavy and everybody says they are not slippery. Slippery may not be the word but they don't have a good grip on them. I think it shaves darn good but I just can't get used to the feel.

meh I'm not catching up, too much stuff. I got a bunch of stuff in the mail today. MWF and my TOBS rose came, I also got my matcha and some pu-erh. Oh and there was a giant underwear sale at the gilly hicks and I spent about $300 but I should be set as far as undies and bras go for at least a year.

Yeah, that works pretty well for shipping them, I sent Shawn some IK soap shavings in an envelope, hope they get there safely, it that works will be a cheap way to send soap samples too.

I did use the sledgehammer the other day. I thought it was fine. gave a good shave, but the size and heft did make it a bit unwieldy especially under the chin and jaw where the I can only get to the hairs from one angle if I want to get BBS. Maybe I'll use it for head shaving if I give that a try this summer

I tried a flair tip rocket I got a while ago today, took me 4 plus passes to get the shave I wanted, and still I think the slant does a better job.

Maybe I just need to use the sledgehammer for a week or so. Could just be different and I need some getting used to. It really does give a great shave.

Sounds like the day after x-mas was good to you. Teas, creams and undergarments; stuff everybody needs.
300 dollars would probably set me up for 20 years or more for undergarments.

Yeah, hold on to it and give it a fair shake. I'm sometimes too quick to judge and get rid of things and regret it later.

Ray, I give up, I can't find my boots.
Can't play without my boots. They must be hiding somewhere in my storage unit. :(

I can't help it if you guys are not smert enough to use a real razor. I just used my 1910 Gem Junior and got an outstanding shave. Used a vintage ever ready badger brush a friend gave me. I will have questions posted about it in the shave brush forum here tomorrow I think.

The Gem is just an awesome razor I think people try to hard to use them. At least to me it is a natural angle to hold. The razor does the work. Kinda like driving an ole Chevy truck. Nice and comfy.

Ummmm I really can not think of much to say... But ummmmm words do not mean much without pictures.....:happy102

The boots are in the back right hand corner of whatever space you have them in. If you go straight to that corner you will find them.

That is the way the slant is to me. I don't have to fuss with the angle or anything else. It all seems natural and leads to a DFS.

All this shave talk is making wish I had shaved this morning. I'll just have to whip up a batch of lather to calm my needs.

I can't believe you whip up great lather and then don't use it!

Hopefully it will be worth the wait. The blades are very good.

Do you have any of the TSD soaps? I know you sold off your TGQ soaps, and your honeybee soaps.

I have 2 of the TSD soaps. Coconut and Bourbon Vanilla. They are the only soaps, from smaller makers, that I will buy. Tabac is still numero uno but TSD gets used quite a bit also. I would recommend them.

Don't act like you have never whipped up the lather and then didn't use it.;)

ok, maybe 1 time. I wanted to see what the big fuss was about Tabac.

I assume after practice lathering you saw what the big fuss was about tabac.
