Excellent list of terms, certainly all applicable to the goings-on here.

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Rex Ambassador (6.5)
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless(3)
Yaqi Mysterious Space (24mm Finest Fan, Frigate Class)
Stirling Island Man soap and AS

The Rex Ambassador has two A adjectives that can describe it, adjustable and aggressive (when fully open). This month there are two benchmarks I will be grading the razors on efficiency and blade feel. For efficiency the benchmark that has been set by the Blackland Dart is a two pass BBS shave. Blade feel is somewhat subjective but hopefully as the month progresses I can make some decent comparisons. So how did the Rex do on setting 6.5? It was certainly efficient enough to pull off the two pass BBS. The big difference between the Dart and the Rex is blade feel and smoothness. The Rex felt much smoother, and though there was plenty of blade feel with the Rex it made the Dart feel rough by comparison. The Stirling made a magnificent slick lather as always and the Glacial AS made me imagine I was sipping a frozen piña colada. Have a great day my friends!

    TGIF!!

Day Three, Gillette Fatboy set to "3"
I don't usually grab the Yardley, seeing as I am officially "hoarding" it. :eatdrink020:
But I did today and was rewarded with a magnificent shave.
I won't go on about the soap, suffice it to say, that this is in the top 3 of my favorites.
The 24mm Rooney is a great choice when you have a smaller container.
I under-loaded (by my standards) and still had oodles of goodness; enough for 3 full passes +
    Fatboy on "3".
The sheer heft of the razor, propels the head assuredly, scything down all stubble in its path.
Finished with YYY and am smelling loverly (sic).

    Good morning, fellas!

The wife and I are out walking off a huge breakfast from the Ruby Slipper. Taking a little break under a tree on a park bench catching up.

I've watched you tube videos of guys face lathering, stopping to tell a story or two, unwrapping and loading their blade then proceeding with their shave. I wondered how they could do that. If I were to try my lather would be approaching dust. I could probably do that here. I have a better understanding of glide and residual slickness. I don't know if it's the water or humidity or a combination of the two. Long story short, excellent shave this morning. Two pass with touch up, near BBS.

It's starting to rain. Have a great Friday, gentlemen![IMG]

The Rex is a sharp looking razor, Andrew. Congrats on the BBS in two passes.

It's Logan Friday, and pasta with spaghetti sauce is on the menu, his mouth, chin, face, hands, hair, bib, clothing, high chair, floor, walls, ceiling, curtains, dog, etc... I didn't see anything on the spoon, though. Thanks for sharing the weekly photos of your Pride and Joy. He is an integral part of the 30DC. :)

Loverly set up today, Joseph. I always enjoy reading your posts and seeing your photos. You have some classy gear. And as a man that posts in centered bold italic and uses fancy words, you have filled a much-needed gap in the brotherhood. I like the way you opera-ate.

On behalf of the 30DC, and because I know you appreciate fine music, I dedicate this song to you.

Have a great day, my friend.
