Off the Adjustable focus a bit at the lake. Used this combo on Friday night and then again this morning. 3 passes on Friday left me completely smooth, and 2 + passes this morning nearly did the same. Good shaves.
Did a day trip yesterday a few hours away to spend the day with my wife’s extended family. A nice day.
I’ll try to get caught up a bit on all the excellent shaving reports, pics and shenanigans on here.
    Have a great afternoon all!

Thank you, Perry. I have enjoyed my vacation time for sure. It is a long weekend here in our province, and then back to work in the middle of the week. :angry017:

Thank you, Clint. We back onto a nice forest here. Not much choice here but to go outside as I don’t think anyone wants to see a pic of my RV sink...

I would imagine that you’ll have very little issue passing along those beauts. If I didn’t already have a nice SC, I’d be PMing you right now, NB be damned!

    August 5

    G3 Gillette Fatboy
    Perma-Sharp Super (2)
30 Day Crew LE figured maple handle with 24 mm APShaveCo Tuxedo knot
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper Coral Skin Food

I performed two easy passes this morning on 36 hours of growth. I'm on my last tuck of Perma-Sharp Super DE blades. This is a very sharp and smooth blade. I'd rate it just below Polsilver SI in terms of smoothness. I had a ton of slick, cushiony lather from the LPL soap and the LE brush. I hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

Awesome combo, Keith. We are heading for a record heatwave ourselves this week. Tues and Wed are projected to be 38C. Roughly 101 Fahrenheit. Just ridiculous for our area.
Your travel pics are every bit as awesome as your home ones, Jim! Hope the trip is still going super well.
It is amazing how a few mm can alter the feel of a knot, no question. A great photo, Clint!
Another different soap/splash combo, Jim! You’re amassing quite the PAA collection.:happy088:
I’ve been meaning to ask you, Brian, did you do that handle yourself, or is someone around there making them for that purpose?
The Dart is certainly getting great reviews. Strangely, I’m not really even contemplating one. Now, as for the Karve...
I wouldn’t say completely useless, but I do agree that we can all make most everything work just fine. I also think many just find their preferred setting on adjustables and just leave it there. I use my two fairly infrequently and enjoy playing around with them a bit. They aren’t daily drivers for me though, but do have significance to me as my only birth year razors, fwiw.

Thanks guys. This is the original finish, Clint. I picked this G3 up on eBay, and it is my birth quarter. I have a G1 and G2 to go along with it.
