For some reason I have wanted one of those. The only other DE I shave with are a 1928 New Improved and a 57 SS that was my granddads. Do not use those more then once a month though. The price was right on that one.

They are the Gillette Swedes. Connaught and WCS shaving carry them. Did you like them?

Morning Dom. I was hoping a little holiday vacation for ya would make you sleep better. I guess when you have insomnia it really doesn't matter if it a holiday or not.

 

Morning Dom. I saw on the xmas haul thread where you got a new laptop and case. What kind of laptop? Also didn't it burn your legs sitting there all night?!? I can't set my wife's laptop in my lap for more than 1/2 hour and it starts to burn!

Haven't tried the Swede yet Tracy. It's next up. Bong also sent me about 10 or 12 various Gillettes I'll be trying over the next few weeks. Did you see where Fuzzy isn't as hardcore with the SE as he led us to believe!?! Sneaky bunny.

 

Actually I am that hardcore.. but come on even a glock guys shoots other things at times..

Fuzzy is kinda of sneaky. I think he has talked me into trying a Gem.

Bong sent me some of those Gillettes also. I am going to try the sharp edge this morning. I really liked them in my gillettes but didn't ever try one in my slant before I sold them off. I am looking forward to trying this morning.

I've been getting to bed a little bit earlier since I've been here. I got some good, solid sleep last night for the most part. Hopefully, I'll get a good amount of sleep tomorrow, too.

In other news, I'm quite thrilled for tomorrow to come. I'm picking up my girlfriend from the airport in the morning. Woohoo!

 

Never know what undercover..secret agent Bunny will do.

But the Gem is a super Ideal. I think I am going to buy a few more to use as gifts. already sending a few plus a few gillettes to a certain person to try out.

A really powerful ASUS laptop. Beautiful 17 inch screen.

Regarding the burn problem - I've got two laptops. A powerful 17 inch one and a less expensive, less powerful tiny laptop that I walk around with on the average day. The smaller one is the one I was using. The way it's designed (battery is big and puts the computer on a slant when you put it on a table or in your lap) makes it so that everywhere that gets hot on the bottom of the laptop is up in the air. So no burn last night. That would have been terribly unfortunate.

I don't know, Fuzzy. I think you're just making excuses.

Fuzzy is sneaky. He got me interested in trying a Gem months ago.

Morning all! Tried to catch up but gave up after the GIANT underwear conversation. I tried the Sheraton out this morning with a Red IP.....Very aggressive and probably need to try it with a 7 oclock. Very rough shave and I dont do well with aggressiveness in razors. It was kind of cool the way the lather collected though. I really do see the benefit of that bar on other razors. I think it benefits keeping the lather against the face. Wont give up on it yet though. Wasnt bloody or anything just....dragged a whole lot. Used it with Floris Santal cream which is good stuff. The NEW razor didnt set right with the glue so have to go with plan B....JB weld

What's the temps like in FL Dom? We're in a bit of a cold spell here though the days warm up reasonably well. It is AZ after all.
