Thanks! The Very Cool Spray version of Dior Sauvage is my favored one of the Dior Sauvage lineup. The extra citrus gives it a zippier, more bright, upbeat appeal compared to the rough & tough peppery EDT original.

It's August 5th. Boy this month is already getting away from me! Fifth day for the Personna 74 blade. Yes, the same blade I started with. Second day in the Qshave wide open. Stirling Bay Rum and JR 54 brush for the super lather. Great cushion, slickness, and protection.

I took a lighter touch with the Qshave tonight and watched my set down angle like a hawk. I didn't want to open up the cut from last night, or get a new one. The razor is definitely heavy enough to not need any additional pressure at all. I slowed down, focused on angle and technique for the entire shave, and finished in two passes and touch ups. I'm happy to report there was zero blood. Also happy to report that the alum was quiet. And finally, I'm happy to report the baby is in the house. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Make this model razor out of brass or stainless and I've got a top 3 or 4 razor on my hands. I just don't like the idea of it being zinc. But that's me.

The occasional DE shave isn't bad when it's with a razor of this calibre.
It's no SE though!
I prefer this to the straight Benjamin's, a bit heavier on the bay but still quite a light scent and again not too sweet.

Menthol Monday's Shave

Keeping It Simple Shave Week

My prep was just a cold water rinse. I used Clubman Classic Shave Cream as a pre-shave. It is an non-lathering SC, so I just applied a thin layer before lathering with the Ingram Shave Cream. It face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 brush. I did two passes with the Schick Krona Razor with an Astra SP blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Route 66 Lavender Woods today. 20 seconds to load the Ever-Ready 50R/TGN Premium Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Schick Plus Platinum in the Gillette Red Tip Super Speed. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Bentley Intense EdT.

Face
Installing the Assured blade into the razor I went for the first pass. The pulling and tugging was so bad. Didn't have this yesterday and the burn was immediate.
Tried another Assured blade on the other side with the same result. Reminded me of the dispossible razors I had used for so many years. I stopped there and wen't for another blade. I had a Dorco 310 that I unwrapped but didn't use so in it went. Finishing the work I had a good 2 pass shave that is nice and smooth no pulling or tugging.
Now I have half my face with that burning feeling so familar to me. But the razor is OK. I wanted so much to buy a razor and blades for a buck that worked, but it's not to be.
I can't get a grasp on why a Feather blade in my monster Muhle 41 pulled but no burn and here I have pulling and burning.
Think it may be my technique or did I unknowing have to pull the razor harder today than I had to with the Muhle??
The more I answers I get, the more questions I have.

BBS in three glorious, frigid passes - do I ever love the scent of this Glacial Wintergreen trio as well as the freeze. The Arctique also smells great and it's unbelievable how it doesn't disrupt the scent of any eau de toilette I wear. Its menthol effect is so powerful and it lasts a LONG time!
