Route 66 Twisted Tweed Soap B-400 Brush by Tom Rigarazor Lucky Tiger Ogallala Bay Rum After Shave Have a great week!
August Adjustable Focus Shave 6/Fatboy "6" (Using my best SOCAL dialect) I am like wow, man, am I even adjusting this razor? (Normal, mid-west/northeast OH banter) I Coloniali is a hard soap, very hard. But it is no match for a good "Blooming". I used a big portion of the 63mm boar knot to extract my elixir. The scent is compelling. Smoky, menthol, secretive. A Fatboy at 6 is like a Fatboy at 5, which is like a Fatboy at 4...etc. Driving a tank around my face with a razor sharp blade riding shotgun... I am smooth baby. Baby smooth. Nothing abnormal to report. Cuba...an island, cigars, rum,
August 6 G3 Gillette Fatboy Perma-Sharp Super Stainless (3) JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot Le Père Lucien - unscented Thayers Lavender witch hazel and unrefined shea butter JR #160 whipped up a mountain of LPL lather this morning. Two passes as per the SOP, and I'm off to see my kiddos. Have a great day, gentlemen!
August 6, 2018- Anglophile August Razor: English Flat Bottom Tech Blade: 7 o'Clock Permasharp Stainless (Indian Green) Brush: VdH Boar Soap: Williams Post: Alum, Listerine, WH I had way too much idle time yesterday and a thought occurred to me- Anglophile August, a celebration of Britain's contributions to traditional wet shaving. Thoughts? I only have three English razors (including one that I prefer not to use), but decided to break out the English Flat Bottom Tech for today's shave. The 7 o'Clock blade is an old English brand and this particular blade is made in a former British colony. It occurred to me afterwards that I could have used the Simpsons cream, as well, but I think I had been focused on using the Williams before hand. Everything performed well, including the Williams, despite the fact that it was the first use of this puck. All in all, a great start to the week. BTW, if you are looking for a theme and your preferences run more to German razors, may I suggest "Allemagne August" (from the French).
Great shave Neal! Very nice, Keith! Excellent shot Jim! Awesome pic, Perry! That is a cool blade, Brian! Excellent photo, Joseph! Very nice Charlie! Have a great day with the kids!
SOTD Aggressive August 6th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap FaTip Piccolo Pol-Silver SI Yaqi Red Marble Tuxedo (28mm, Destroyer Class) Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum Baxter of California Shave Tonic and ASB Aggressive august continues with the FaTip Piccolo. After two weeks with the Blackland Dart and a shave with the Rex Ambassador on setting 6.5 the FaTip felt rather mild by comparison. Did the two pass litmus test and wasn't able to come away with a BBS from the Piccolo even with a brand new Pol-Silver SI. I did end up with a very nice DFS and no irritation to speak of so I'll take it on a Monday morning. Finished with the Baxter duo for a nice menthol finish. Have a great day my friends!
Another one of my lazy catch-up posts... Fantastic photos and setups today, fellas!! Hope everyone has as great of a Monday as possible!
