What's revolutionary about the 1958 Adjustable?
Heretofore, Gillette set the blade gap at the factory and that was that.
Now, the shaver can adjust the gap, with the help of a dial and 9 different settings.

I am still rather perplexed as to the benefit of adjustable razors.
The fact is, if you have your soap and brush well-hydrated before loading, you will need to add
    relatively little
additional water. Such was the case today. I can't tell you how wonderful I Coloniali lather is.
The bowl is super small, so you can imagine the overspill.
Personna 74 shave #9 and it is still in excellent shape.

Old Spice Burley is a manly AS. I smell manly.

Thank you Perry. This the last Spreadsheet to master. My goal is to kill off some of these things as quickly as I can.

    August 8

I used the same set up I have been using, except I increased the setting on my Fatboy to 7. It was a nice, drama-free, two-pass shave. I'll stick with this setting for a few days before sharing any conclusions on how it compares to setting 5. Then, I'll move up to setting Neal and give it a whirl there.

We spent time today making lighting selections for the new house. It's a lot of detail, but my Bride and I are trying to make it fun. Here's a photo of the current construction status. We're standing in our imaginary driveway. The imaginary garage will be located to the left. What do you think of my (forever) imaginary Jaguar XJ220S TWR sitting in the garage?

Look down into our imaginary basement. That's my imaginary office with the gravel floor. It will be a zero-lot-line house, so our backyard will be around 10' feet deep. Our development backs up to a one-owner piece of property. It has a steep downward slope, so we are hoping it never develops even if the property sells in the future. The area immediately behind our house is thickly wooded, so we'll have afternoon shade on the patio and deck. It all depends on the final grade, but it looks like the basement will be mostly above ground. It also appears that our driveway will be nearly level.

I believe this is called the "Less Nessman" construction phase. :happy102:

I hope you all had a great day! Now to catch up on today's posts...

    Thursday Shave

Yesterday the Personna 74 performed great so time to see if the 2011 R41 likes it.... the answer is a resounding yes, an epic shave. So far based on just the sharpness and smoothness it outperformed my favourite blade, Iridium Super. Now to check it's longevity as well as performance in my other razors.

    Irritation A+ Closeness A+

    Razor: 2011 R41 Persona 74 (2)
    Brush: Etsy silver tip
    Soap: DR Harris Arlington cream
AS: Enhanced Florida Water AS, Stirling ASB
    Scent: Dior Ambre Nuit
