What's the general consensus on Razorock soaps? I am looking to upgrade from Palmolive in the near future... I'll be wanting a nice soap to go with my nice new Plissoft brush (when I get it)!

I'm also open to recommendations for other high quality soaps that provide good slickness and post shave feel. I'm based in the UK so getting hold of many products is tricky! I'm only really looking to spend £10-15!

Same set up as yesterday. Bumped the SA up to 6. Similar results and am completely smooth again. I’ve noticed that I get more of an alcohol burn feel from this splash than my other Jeeves. Could just be my skin’s reaction to the intense heat. We are forecasted to be 40C tomorrow. That is about 101 F and just insane for this area. Our old house doesn’t have central air conditioning, and I’ve decided to book a day off work tomorrow and head to the lake tonight. It is 37C there, but the water will be nice and the trailer has AC.
It also happens to be our 15th anniversary today. A nice evening there is a fine way to spend it.
    Have a great day all!

Congratulations on surviving 15 years! Given that you have a hobby involving sharp things, that's pretty impressive.
In all seriousness - congratulations and enjoy a wonderful evening!

Nah. We have Igor and Vlad monitoring all NSA operatives in the area. If they get too close we notify the FBI anonymously to start an investigation about the shady looking characters in sunglasses and earpieces. Once they start noticing each other it turns into Spy vs. Spy and they can't find their way out of one way tunnel with a spotlight.

    Let's be careful out there.

It is almost impossible to beat a Fatboy with a Feather. This is true both in shaving and in real life. That is all.

    Missed the multi quote, but...

John @Screwtape - Thoughts and prayers are with you, buddy. Hang in there.

    Jason @jtspartan - Happy anniversary!

Charlie @wristwatchb - Having been through a large construction project on our house a few years ago, I can tell you that you will encounter imaginary workers doing imaginary work on your project quite regularly. Most often on a Friday, but not necessarily restricted to that day. For some reason when they’ve worked enough hours in the week to make beer money, they become invisible.

I have 2 Razorock soaps-Acqua and "What The Puck" Lime Burst. I like them both. Very pleased with how they spread across my face and neck.

That Palmolive SS stick is an exotic item here in The States. I had mine shipped from GB. I've got 4 tubs of Razorock - maybe 1/3 original volume. If I packaged them down to ziplock bags and didn't send the tubs I ought to be able to afford the shipping. PM me if you'd like to arrange an International Swap Session? Some times I forget some members of The 30DC aren't Americans. For being a foreigner, your English is pretty good. ;)

I've been one of those workers. Everyone knows the boss has paychecks ready on Thursday night. Just try to get them to come in on a Saturday. I worked (briefly) for one that paid on Mondays. Didn't really matter since I don't drink much beer, and was supporting the wife and 4 kids.

Mail call at Cartel HQ today. A package all in shiny red showed up from New Jersey. Naturally the color is something we like around here but New Jersey did make the boys take the precaution of examining it for hidden wires. However, the sender is a friend of the Cartel and the contents were more than welcome. Thanks to @John Ruschmeyer for a fantastic PIF of a 1972 Gillette Black Beauty (S2). He generously offered it to me last week as we started Adjustable August (with Arko, anything goes, awesomeness, arguments, any and all A words that we attach). He didn't tell me it had its original case so that was a huge surprise. This one will make it into rotation SOON!

One programming note - not sure when I'll be shaving yet tonight or posting said shave. I'm going on delivery runs for DoorDash from 7-10 then running Uber/Lyft as long as it lasts. Normally I shave before driving but with the delivery shift I may not have the opportunity. I'll be using the same gear as the past two nights - with the Personna 74 blade on its 9th consecutive day.

Some Fatboys like feathers. It's only the really kinky ones that ask for the whole chicken. Now. That is all.

The Razorock soaps are OK, but they aren't among my favorites.

My favorite soaps are from Stirling, PAA, and Wholly Kaw. I am not sure about international shipping from those guys, though. Being in UK, have you looked into Mitchell's Wool Fat? That is a terrific soap in my opinion.

If you do look at either Stirling or PAA, they both offer brushes comparable to the Razorock Plissoft, so you can consolidate shipping costs a bit.

I'm glad it got there okay. A bit of background- that particular SA was part of a very generous PIF that I received from @Morman Bridge last year. It was actually my second SA and the nicer of the two (the other has holes in the handle from internal corrosion and will probably become a parts donor some day). There is a ding on one of the safety bars which looks like its either from a drop or from a previous owner fixing a bent safety bar. I don't recall any problems, though, the times that I used it.

I'm glad it went to a good home. I like having an SA on principle but, to be honest, it's not my favorite of the Gillette Adjustables (I definitely prefer the heft of the Fatboy as well as the knurled metal handles of both the FB and Slim.)

    Enjoy!

I echo the recommendation of @Norcalnewb and suggest Mitchell's Wool Fat. Should be fairly easy to find in the UK and it's not expensive there. Connaught's Shaving has it. In fact, I ordered my last puck from there and with shipping to the US it was still cheaper than places here. The Fat is a wonderful soap.

The Wickham soaps are good. I think they are based in the UK.

Stirling and Soap Commander are both tremendous soap brands. The shipping to you might be prohibitive.

RazoRock soaps are pretty good. I have a couple of them (Zi'Peppino and What the Puck Blue Barbershop). Pretty good quality, but I'm not sure it's worth enough to ship those all the way to you.
