    Unbelievably cool looking razor!
    I really must give SE razors another chance in the future! Once I've actually got the hang of DE that is!

    Enough was enough. “Ol’ Shedder” truly irked me this morning. It was almost comical for awhile…shedding a hair or two. Then a shave with no shedding. Next shave, drop another one or two. This morning, it was about 15 that dropped. The laughing stopped today.

    The shave itself was absolutely delightful.

    Me too. It took it a bit too far this time. Obviously, a re-knot is planned. I just don't know which knot yet.

    I’m will use it and the E plate a few more times to decide if they stay or go. I’m not sure they really over anything over the D plate. I do know that to me the D plate is much smoother.

    Perma-Sharp Super Stainless (4)
    JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
    Thayers Lavender witch hazel, Trumper Coral Skin Food, and unrefined shea butter

    This set up is working really well for me. I increased the setting from 5 to 7 for the last few shaves. There's obviously more blade feel, but the shaves continue to be very close and comfortable. I skipped yesterday, so today's shave consisted of a two-passer on two days of growth. The Perma-Sharp blade shows no signs of dulling on the 4th shave. I will change it out anyway for tomorrow's shave.

    My Bride and I are going to a Bible study weekend group class dinner tonight. A friend is showing off his smoker skills, and we're happy to oblige him! I hope you all have a great weekend.
