Another outstanding shave with the L'Essor-,SABI, today with a fresh BIC and the heavy SABI handle. A more demanding shave in terms of angle than the stock L'Essor but man is it efficient and smooth. SABI handle is a bit too heavy but easier to handle on my head than the short Blackbird handle.[IMG]

    Razor: Gillette Atra Handle
    Blade: Generic Atra Cart. (4)
    Lather: Neutrogena Shave Cream
AS: Nivea Post Shave Balm/ Old Spice Original
    Newspaper Date: May 16, 1945

Thought I would give my old pal, the Atra handle that I`ve had, like forever. Two passes, WTG/ATG with some touch ups. The `generic` carts are almost as good as the real thing. Resulting in a DFS+. Well pleased considering the blades. So, pretty happy camper. God Bless.

    Bill

    Tuesday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: Weber ARC
    Blade: Permasharp
Brush: 'Jade' (Rooney Heritage 2XL Jade)
Soap: Wholly Kaw ‘Agrumi in Estate’
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / RazoRock Aftershave Wax

despite being shafted by customs for £13.50, I really enjoyed ‘Agrumi in Estate’... I'm sure the extra ingredients have improved the base some, as it felt lighter, and somewhat slicker... maybe others have noticed this, and could shed some light? the scent was subtle, summery, and reminded me of something that I can't quite put my finger on... but, after last nights shift, it was just the pick me up that I needed.. all's good

    Saturday.
    Prep: Hot towel
    Pre shave: Prep
    Razor: ‘The Rock’ (Rockwell 6S – #3)
    Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra
Brush: 'The Duke' (Duke 3 Best)
    Soap: Shannon's "Lit"
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve
    Fragrance: Boadicea the Victorious 'Nemer'

a truly outstanding shave... if you've never tried a Shannon's soap, you really owe it to yourself to give it a try... the regular base is fantastic, and the Rust Belt Reserve is even better... and, what more can I say about ‘The Rock’/Gillette Bleue Extra combo.. sublime shaves every time..

I don't think I really needed a shave, but heck, it's Saturday, and I got the time.

The lather from this Noble Otter is just excellent. I bloomed the puck for maybe five minutes, and used this Excelsior triple band badger to whip up an instant cloud of thick lather.

The Rockwell blade was dulling, so this was its last use, which was good given the abuse I gave my hide earlier this week. Basically, minimal to no irritation even though I made two and a half passes.

The Lone Star aftershave was a great finisher. Sweaty old saddles in the tack room.

Great scents, top level lather, a fine, slow and careful ritual. The face is ready.

    Here it is for Sunday(12th):

    prep-Dial 4 Men Bodywash(Extra Fresh, Cooling Agent)in shower
shave-Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber soap
brush-Crown King 26 mm. Spindle Duro Tali
razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce "Pivote + DisposeABLEment*
    A.S.-Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber

I think the weather will be comfortable enough so that I don't light my face on fire with this. After all, CF aftershaves do have the nice addition of menthol.
*-Need to get some francais in here, as there's a pro tennis tournament in Montreal this week.

Prep: hot shower and conditioner on my face.
    Brush: Semouge SE OC 2013
    Soap: Saponificio Veresino Felce 4.3
    Razor: Merkur 34c
    Blade: Persona blue med Prep
    Aftershave: Saponificio Veresino Felce
Lotion: Caties bubbles whipped shea butter lavender scent.
    Cologne: Houbigant Royal Fougere.

Ended up with a great shave. Can't get over how slick the SV Felce 4.3 is. I think I could do this same combination for everyone of my shaves and be quite happy. That said I do enjoy variety to much to do so.
