Don't get rid of the 34C just yet. Set it aside, try it again in a few months, and I predict you'll see an improvement in how it shaves. Once you've had a chance to fully develop your technique, you'll be able to shave with any razor. You may still have your favorites, but you won't avoid a razor simply because you view it as too aggressive. In fact, the whole idea of razor aggressiveness, "I have a tough beard," or "my skin is really sensitive" eventually becomes a non-issue as technique develops. Technique eventually trumps tools. :happy088:

Have smooth flights, extra pretzels, the whole can of Coke each time a drink is offered, and safe travels, Chris.

Thank Charlie. The Nuàvia Blu is just about gone. Since the soap had gotten to difficult to load, I had to move the soap to a plastic container. We had a great visit with Mom. Maya wanted to visit. before leaving for school on Tuesday. My wife and I picked figs off of Mom's fig trees as well.

The Timeless razor is a looker, Jim! Congrats on a great shave. I routinely go ATG on my neck during the first pass and then again on the second pass. It works great for me as long as I resist the temptation to buff my neck.

Livin’ large exploiting the free snacks, baby!

Pro tip: if you are on American or Delta, skip the pretzels and go for the Biscoff cookies.

Even Better Pro Tip: If you are on American or Delta, rebook your flight on JetBlue or Virgin.

G3 Gillette Fatboy on setting 7

JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot

I enjoyed a quick and easy, two-pass shave this morning before church on less than a day's growth. I could have skipped today's shave because I was still fairly close from yesterday. I typically shave WTG (cheeks, mouth, chin and jawline) and ATG on my neck during the first pass and pretty much ATG everywhere except my upper lip on the second pass. If I really want to get smooth, I usually shave my jaw line, upper lip, and chin in a few different directions on the second pass. I rarely perform a third pass or do much buffing, as that just invites irritation.

I'm down to about 20 or 25% on the Trumper Coral Skin Food. I hope to finish up this container before moving back to my other aftershaves. I marginally like the scent, and it offers no skin conditioning benefit over and above the USB. I have no idea which of my soaps provide the best skin conditioning, because I follow all of them with the USB. I predict that Logan will be out of medical school before I finish the LPL soap. I can create a ton of lather with just a first swirls of JR # 160 on the puck.

I've been encouraged by several of you who have chosen to reduce their weight and seek a healthier lifestyle. Thanks to your enabling, I've decided to join you. I'm tired of struggling to get up out of a chair or feeling dread when I have to climb or descend a set of stairs. I set a goal to lose 60 lbs at the rate of one pound per week. I've made some changes to my food selections and portion sizes. I even picked up an inexpensive digital food scale to keep me honest. I eat three reasonable meals a day and usually plan for a snack. My Bride and I love to go out to eat. I just try to be smarter when I do. I have promised not to beat myself up if I go off the rails one day...just get back on the program the next day. It's a lifestyle...not a diet. I'm also trying to incorporate more exercise in my daily routine. To be honest, I struggle to make exercise a real priority. My support team includes my sweet Bride, my family doctor, a couple of dear friends on the same journey with me, and another dear friend who is educating me on smarter food choices. I'm almost 3 weeks into the new routine, and I've lost 12 pounds. My weight has varied all my life. I'm in it this time for the long haul. I wanted to go public with my decision because it will help me with accountability. :)

I hope you all are having a restful Sunday.

Gerat shave report and congrats on the lifestyle changes. I got on the same kick a couple of years ago and lost 40 lbs. Since that time I have held that weight. I need to get back on the healthy eating and living kick again and lose another 20-25 lbs.
