Hmmm. The English make the blades? I'm not sure how I feel about that. No offense to the English and their capabilities, but I think I'd rather them stick to brushes and/or soaps. They have a pretty good track record of that. :)

You didn't even attempt to disguise your enabling. Not in the least. I'd almost feel that was a rank amateur move, however, you've been around here for quite some time and have seen & done your share of enabling. That signifies you're a true pro. ;)

Great photo and setup too, Perry!

    Awesome photo, Clint!
I'm closely following your experiences with the Karve, mainly to see if you have a change in opinion of the E & F plates over time.
Have a great day - hopefully you'll cruise right through without any issues.

Thank you, John! The Hussy is a great little razor.

    Thank you, Clint!

Terrific photo and report, as usual!

    Thank you, Jim!

    Haha! Thanks, Bruce!

Thank you Gentlemen. Bruce, my opinion is changing on the E & F plates. I find the D plate to be the DE equivalent to the OneBlade for me. At this point it requires zero thought toward technique. I can be nearly sound asleep and get a near perfect shave in 2 passes with touch ups. My mistake was approaching the E & F plate with that same mindset. Both are good plates but do require more of my attention.

Two mornings in a row, my first whack resulted in a cut. Here's my question-when there isn't much shaving cream left in the can, does it lose its thickness? Well, that would explain this morning(if so), but I dd use the Acqua Shave Cream/Soap (Razorock yesterday).

Maybe... When I said it, I was thinking about things like W&B straights and classic Wilkinson Sword blades.

Wow, Chris! Glad to see you around again. Take care of yourself, brother!

Aha! We finally found out which shave den has the real cookies. Not sure I'm ready for cookies just yet...

Gotcha on the W&B straights. I've yet to try a straight, but the W&Bs are highly regarded. I'm not attempting to argue, but aren't the Classic Wilkinson Swords made in Germany? Maybe they used to be made in England? I dunno....

The Gillette Wilkinsons are made in India. FWIW, I'm basing all this on what RazorBladesClub website has listed, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee 100% accuracy.

In accordance with the focus stipulations, I have towed the line and set my Merkur Progress to 2.5.
There's enough residual alum on the handle of my Progress to facilitate a secure grip throughout the shave.
I Coloniali definitely lives up to its reputation and whatever you read, that might sound like hype,
    is completely true.

    Unique and pleasing scent...:happy088:
    Slick lather...:happy088:
    Excellent Post-shave...:happy088:
The M&F is a lather hog extraordinaire.

After applying the third pass lather, there was so much remaining in the knot that I was unable to access without
    manually
clearing the knot. I usually do this anyway, but today's was unusually abundant.
The 2XL handle is pretty, but slightly small for my hands.
Blade exposure at 2.5 is slightly more than at 2.0...;)
To my skin, it could have been wide open...or shut down tightly.
Once the correct blade angle is found, it's downhill from there.
    So, now to
what everyone is curious about, maybe not everyone, but @NCoxSTL at least,
the state of affairs regarding my Personna 74 Tungsten shaves.
Today was shave number 15 and I can report that, in spite of a noticeable reduction of
sharpness, the Personna 74 still slices competently and, for the most part, without dragging.
Picked the Myrsol Don Miguel 1919 to complete the shave.
    Jasmine...:)

Looks like I need to work harder in the gym and head out get some Botox.

I’m sure takes a lot of energy but it’s also going to be very rewarding.

Chris that was a close call, glad you got it on time to the doctor. Praying for a quick and full recovery .

Switched to the long-handled version of the Black Beauty today. Put it at 5, whipped up a great batch of nice smelling lather and had 3 very enjoyable passes. The weighting feels different in this razor in comparison to the short-handled version. Similar results, however, and finishing with CL is always a good thing as well.
I have to fly out of town for a few days for meetings, but at least I'll be gone long enough to check a bag:happy088:.
I'll be off the adjustable focus for this week, it looks like.
    Have a great day all!
