Excellent photo, Jason! Wonderful selection of products too - including your own brush. Safe travels, sir!

The neck is so tricky. Light, light pressure and beard mapping. Figure out what way your hair grows on your neck. It will likely not all grow in the same direction. My neck has about four zones where the grain changes. I shave different directions in those four zones. Generally I shave south-north on my neck, but in one area I west-east because of the hair grain.

I shave my neck with two passes, both WTG. I don't go for a BBS there because I can easily irritate it.

Awesome pic, Bruce! LOVE the Stirling Gentleman, have the soap and balm but not the splash.

Love it! My family genealogy is known as far back as ~1000 AD. Being a fun mix of Scots, Welsh and Norman French, I see nothing wrong with these methods.

    Thank you, Jason!
Since you love Stirling Gentleman, I highly recommend the splash. It’s one of their stronger ones, for sure. Like, cologne strong. All day.

    jluc smelling pretty

I was getting the same thing early on. For me it was a combination of poor technique and over shaving. If I had stopped after my two xtg passes I would have been fine. I'm getting closer shaves on my neck now but I still have to resist the urge to chase the last little bit.
    Good luck!

My neck grows from the middle out towards the ears and is slightly diagonal South to North. I usually do a straight South to North on the first pass and a straight North to South on the second pass. I think I'll wait for my beard to grow for 2-3 days (holidays - perks of being a teacher) and map my beard growth accurately. I'll post some pictures of el beardo, so that I can get some feedback on my mapping!

Yep, that pretty much describes most of us here. :D

"That's the plan...don't know how it's gonna go..." Not bad. Only one fall off the ladder, nearly broke his glasses, and 4 wasp stings to the head.

But here's real proof of his fearlessness. He gives himself a buzz hair cut and facial hair trim while sitting on the living room couch. He's obviously not afraid of his wife, either.

Too bad he's wasn't here for MAYhem. I wonder what he'd try?

He uses the stings of wasps to cause swelling and inflammation in order to stretch his facial skin. That way he keeps one hand free to do whatever other badass activity he is on with...
