I'm glad your rule is coming together. I like the Nivea Post-Shave Balm. At some point, consider using some unrefined shea butter in your post-shave routine. I learned this from @celestino a few years ago, and I've been using it ever since. I find it to be very healing on my skin. It helps greatly to reduce irritation. You can use it right along with any other aftershave splash or balm. The good stuff (certified pure) is essentially odorless. It can be greasy...just use a small amount and then use your towel to pat off any excess. It's hands down the best stuff I've ever laid on my skin, and it's relatively inexpensive. I get the good stuff here: https://www.bikitanaturals.com/, but I'm sure you can find a reputable supplier in the UK. A 16-ounce tub lasts more than a year.

Note: This is not enabling. I'm sharing a tip for healthier and more fulfilled living. Recommending the Parker SRX in my earlier post, however, is another story. :)

John, the brush from @Vlasta is a beauty and what an incredibly generous PIF from @AlDm! :happy088:

Thanks, Clint! I have never ever expected someone who won a PIF I did to give me something in return. The offer of the T-400 prototype to test was unexpected; what came in the mail today was a total surprise!

I agree! Now I have to get to work testing and reporting on the brush. I guess I know which brush I will be using for the next while with my various adjustables. And somewhere in there I will have to slide in a couple Russian Product Days too...

    August 15

    G3 Gillette Fatboy
    Perma-Sharp Super Stainless (1)
JR #160 Louisville Slugger handle with Omega 10098 boar knot
    Le Père Lucien - unscented
Thayers Lavender witch hazel, Trumper Coral Skin Food, and unrefined shea butter

Same set up, routine, and results. I had planned to move from setting 7 to 9 with this shave. I didn't have my glasses on (I need them for close up work), gave the adjustment knob two clicks, and proceeded to complete the shave on setting 5. :happy097: I noticed it after the shave was complete. Donning glasses, I went ahead and adjusted the Fatboy to setting Neal for tomorrow's shave.

I'm on the next-to-last Perma-Sharp Super blade in my stash. I have so many other blades that I'll likely never come back to these again. It's a fine Russian blade and just a tad behind Polsilver Super Iridium in sharpness and smoothness, IMO.

LPL shaving soap is analogous to P74 DE blades. It just keeps going. Thankfully, it's a wonderful soap, and I don't mind continuing to use it.

In honor of @Bama Samurai, I eradicated a colony of wasps setting up shop on my front porch. However, I deviated from the British Best Practice shared yesterday. I drank two large cups of coffee, grabbed my pressurized can of wasp eradicator, and hit my target from about 8 feet. Annihilation resulted. I was left feeling the need to pay some type of tribute to the UK and @jtface for the award-winning Best Practice, so I went inside and had a bowl of Irish Oatmeal for breakfast. This evening, I rescued my Bride from a large brown spider passing through our basement. He thought he was entering a redneck abode, but it turned out to be Hotel California for him.

Looking back on this day's events, how would I describe myself? Manly. Rugged. Fearless. Braggadocio. Heroic. Tactical. Lionhearted. BBS. Nearly Blind. :kngt:

:happy096: It's a cool looking razor, and I look forward to your evaluation. Different head pieces for different amounts of blade exposure?

Other than that... all is quiet in Colorado.

Here's a throwback Thursday for @Keithmax out in the Magic Kingdom.

    Have a groovy Thursday!

Yes. Three different head piece with different blade reveals. They decided to use Phillips head screws to attach the heads. I’m not a fan of of the look but if it works well I can get past it.

The razor reminds me of a cross between a OneBlade and Cobra.

Quick question(one of many).....how many shaves is this good for before I need a new blade?

Paul, I've never used the Dorco 6. I used the 3-blade Dorcos for maybe 7 or so comfortable shower shaves. I don't post these shaves on the 30DC thread. Don't tell anyone. ;)

OK thanks.....I will be switching back and forth between the Dorco and Sensor Deuce, but good to get to work with this Dorco.

I would suggest three shaves over one per blade. Some of my best shaves have been on 2 or 3 with some blades.

Same here. Once you get the technique down, all is good.
