18th shave with the Personna 74
18 is an impressive number when it comes to DE longevity. This is actually farther than I normally take my 74's.

Took the Rubberset, set with an Omega Pro knot (63mm loft!)
and threw caution to the wind and loaded the I Coloniali like there was no tomorrow.

...and went to the face for lather creation:

There's nothing to dislike about a Rubberset 400. I am very happy to have this brush in my shave den.
    The star of today's shave:
    IMG_7408.jpg
The lettering has eroded sharply, and the exquisite smoothness has
    dissipated,
yet the Personna 74 with ATG buffing, gave me a BBS.
Old School scents don't get any more "old school" than vintage Old Spice Herbal:

This was a VERY popular scent in bath shampoo especially in the 70's.

Remember Herbal Essence? NOT to be confused with today's Herbal Essences.
    EXACTLY the same.

Sitting in the airport waiting for the flight home. Had a nice shave earlier this morning at the hotel. Switched up the software after a few days of Palmolive/Gentleman to my first use of the Blackbeard. I’ve had this sample for quite some time, but hadn’t pulled it out before throwing it in the Dopp bag for this trip. I got a very nice lather from it actually and had 3 easy passes.
I’m actually going to be travelling again tonight after I get home. We’ll be loading the family up and driving a few hours for a weekend sports tournament. Looks like another hotel shave.
    Have a great weekend all!

    August 17, 2018- Adjustable August

    Razor: Schick M3 Adjustable (5)
    Blade: Schick Proline B
    Brush: Semogue 620
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

After another shave yesterday with the Bakelite Tech, I went with the traditional Friday adjustable razor. I been going light on Injectors for this month, figuring I'd go heavy on them next month. That said, I decided to heed the siren call of the Schick Adjustable.

Overall, a good shave marred only by the fact that I overhydrated the Williams and had to fight with it a bit.

@Douglas Carey I was thinking about you just the other day, wondering how you were getting on! It seemed inevitable that you'd be back! It's certainly great to hear from you again! You'll be all bristly again in no time! How are you feeling? Up and about and all that?

Thanks for thinking of me. I'm doing pretty well. I have to see the oncologist again 9 October. I'm sure they will line me up for more tests. I've played 41 rounds of golf this year. I am taking a cart instead of walking for the first time. So I have nothing to complain about.
