  1. WCS I believe still has this Yaqi brush in stock. I can’t remember what I paid exactly but, it was definitely under $20 and totally worth it. Good face feel, decent splay and enough backbone to get it done. I’ve enjoyed every lather with it and not a single hair lost. ;)

  3. Thanks very much.
It's made by a talented fella on a British forum to my specs, which are loosely based on an Omega handle.
I'm very pleased with the outcome. :)
  4. A WSP All-Star game, eh? I have a small WSP problem this fall&winter....I've hardly scratched the surface of my Sandalwood soap, and have only a few more shaves left of my Sandalwood A.S. I decided that I will buy a TSD Sandalwood to blend in with the WSP soap, since Lee raised the price of the his aftershaves. I just hope the TSD Sandalwood is the same type as that of WSP. If not, I'll just have to say "Ah well, how can you screw up Sandalwood?" Ooops, that was meant to comment on @Tdmsu's shave.
  5. Does Maggard have that one, too? I ask because my last WSP order was delayed due to a shipping mess, whereas Maggard's shipping was spot-on. As a sort of "great shipping, fellas" note to Maggard, I want to buy a Maggard product next year.
  6. Forgive me, I must have stated the wrong vendor. It’s WCS (West Coast Shaving) that has these brushes....
  7. No, that's on me...you had it right. But it was WCS that messed me up on their shipping though....I said WSP did it and was wrong. For that brush though I might give WCS another chance.

You can't go wrong using this type of Tech. Two passes with a hint of touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

  10. Nice model kit. I remember when companies, especially AMT, included what was needed to complete the kit.

    Razor - OneBlade Genesis
    Blade - [IMG] *2nd Shave
Shave Brush - EcoTools "Kabuki" Retractable Synthetic
Shave Soap - Mama Bear's "Acqua di Gio" Type
Soap Bowl - Iris Hantverk Dark Gray Concrete
Aftershave - The Shave Den "Acqua di Gio" Type Witch Hazel in an Custom Pottery Dispenser by 3 Points Pottery
    Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented"
Post-Shave Balm - Nicci Marie Hyaluronic Acid Anti-Aging Face Serum
Deodorant - Tommy Bahama "Set Saîl Martînique"
    Fragrance - M. Micallef Osaito

The executive shave set. Again, the shave brush may be labeled as a 'beauty brush' for women, but these contain synthetic hairs that work EXTREMELY WELL for lathering. Even this smaller brush knot is able to hold 3-passes of glycerin-based shave soap with no issues.

  17. It is really hard to tell the scent from the balm. It is not strong and a barbershop type. I like it, but it is very weak. I think it would be nice in their AS or shave soap.

  18. Thanks Tom. Yesterday was the Woodward Dream Cruise and we went down to check out all the cool rides. I must say the air quality must go down a few notches with all the engine revving and burn outs. Rubber, exhaust, and gas were the scents of the day. Sparked me to use the Octane today. It's funny because I really like the silence of my EV, but when at events like the cruise, there definitely is a part of me that misses that throaty bass of a V8 idling. All good stuff. For a bit in front of me I had the classic Ford Chevy rivalry.

  19. OK thanks.
  20. This skinny old lady is my Old No Tail. Maybe 1700s, maybe very early 1800s but it’s lack of a tail and mysterious symbols on the tang make it distinctive. I wonder how many faces it’s seen in it’s 200 plus year history?

At any rate, it shaves like you’d expect from a very old razor with lower quality steel. The dolphins have nothing to fear. To see what I could eke out of it I gave it 10 laps on the red paste. Not bad, mostly a DFS which is saying something for this ole gal. :happy036:
