Thank you Jason. At one time I was obsessed with restoring Rubberset 400s. I think I ended up completing around 9 brushes.

Thanks Jason! I love the cologne scent of Baker Street, however it doesn't seem to hang around very long.

Up and moving entirely too early this morning. The blade is getting a little tired so I went with a traditional three pass shave this morning. After touch ups along my jawline, the baby was within reach. I couldn't help myself so I went for a 4th buffing pass on my neck easily ending in a BBS shave that would make a Drill Sergeant proud. A Epic shave with no drama or irritation. A splash of Limón and I am ready for a busy day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick G5
    Brush: JR #142 black badger
    Soap: RazoRock Blue Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel, Epsilon Blue Mediterranean aftershave

Nice, luxurious lather from this inexpensive soap was swiped away easily by the Schick G5. Smooth and comfortable. Did a little more ATG on the second pass than usual and seem to be doing fine with that. I mentioned the other day that I've steered away from ATG but am now exploring it a little bit, but only on my cheeks for the most part. I'm keeping the same pattern on my neck as usual because I know it works and leads to irritation free results.

Quite nice overall. Hope you all have a great day!

Soap Commander announced last night that they will begin selling aftershave splashes tomorrow in seven of their core scents. Can't remember all seven, but Vision, Courage, and Fortitude were among them. I'll be interested to try them out! Only drawback is the price per 4 ounce bottle - $25. Pretty high compared to some other companies. But, they are good people and make high quality products and I plan to continue supporting them.

Great photo as usual, Clint! A good shave definitely helps with a morning that starts too early. I have to say, though, that that particular razor design just leaves me absolutely cold -- it obviously works well for you but I just don't think I would be able to get over its looks...

I enjoyed the low-angle photo. I'm using a PAL adjustable at the moment but I really like my Schick E and G razors. I almost never go ATG on my face because I find it causes irritation plus it's the most likely stroke to result in nicks and weepers. (My first stroke on my neck, though, is almost invariably ATG.)

I was most interested in Fortitude and Vision. Both are great scents.

It's great soap, as I'm sure you remember.

Thanks, John! I am just now experimenting with it. I stayed away because I was worried about irritation as well. That's why I'm sticking with my cheeks for now as they're the least likely place to bother me.

    August 22 SOTD:

    Razor: Razorock Mamba
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Lather: La Toja Shave Stick
    Aftershave: Clubman
    Additional Care:
    Osage Rub
    Stirling Unscented PSB

My daughter picked the filter this morning, as she always likes to see what pictures I post on "Shaving Facebook". It was a nice shave this morning with the La Toja, and I feel ready to get my day going. I hope everyone has a great day!

I read from the owner that this soap has been released before, but wasn't particularly well-received.
I can say that this soap is every bit as good as MOST soaps out there. There are some higher-end soaps that may use
higher quality ingredients, but after 5 shaves with this product, I recommend it highly.
The Gillette Tech is a fun, little light-weight. Easy to maneuver.

The Feather blade in its second shave is at its pinnacle. Tomorrow should be equally as good,
but after that, Feathers tend to go downhill quickly.
Meehan Bay Rhum finished a great shave with its signature scent and burn.
