Thank you, Clint. I am pleased with how it turned out. I had an extra brass tool ferrule and made a handle for Keith with it as well. I will likely pick up a few more as I like the look of them on the top of a handle.
@jtface There's pix of me smoking a handmade English pipe on Jermyn Street in the June 2017 30DC. I was on the tube during the infamous London Bridge attack, returning to Westminster from a Depeche Mode show at Queen's Olympic Stadium (West Ham home pitch). A trip I will never forget. And yeah... I bought soaps from DRH, TOBS, et al. I also really enjoyed the Boots stores, they carry a different pharmacy selection of products than the USA. Ingram cream was a big find.
'High Octane Stink'! Great line, Bruce. The Tuxedo sounds like a winner, I certainly enjoy mine for loading and find it an excellent bowl-latherer and passable face-latherer.
I saw it. I'm glad you enjoy it. You are far too kind to call it a PIF- you had just sent me two nice Injectors if I recall.
Thanks Jason. The Meehan's is still produced. The Tech is a 1964 model. I have nothing to compare it to, so I can't comment on the weight.
Thank you, Jason! She is the most interested from my kids. My son will shave with me every now and then, and sometimes he likes to take his own pictures, but generally he and my dest daughter don't pay too much attention. My middle daughter always asks to see my pictures every day.
That's the Universe maintaining balance. Since my daughter and three grandkids moved in around the 1st of July I've hardly had a moment to myself. I've lived alone but never felt lonely. Now that school has started and daughter is working two part time jobs I get lots of Pawpaw time with the grandson. We're working on potty training. I need to introduce him to urinating outdoors. We'll have to discuss the concept of being discrete. That's how I found one for $14. Kept looking online but wasn't going to pay the bay price. Spotted one in a flea market/antique store. As much as I enjoyed finally owning an original unnumbered R-400, I traded it away when I got a new B-400 from Tom @twhite . It's a lot of work trying to restore the old ones to a glossy shine.
It was really great being able to sample all the scents! My wife was as keen as I... I preferred Peppermint, she Almond... She insisted that I have both! Gotta love 'em (wives and soaps). I've just got in after a whirlwind 12 hours... I'll shave in the morning! I only had time for TOBS... It was unbelievably cool though! I could spend an entire day on Jermyn St. and become a 'true gent'! Sad that you were in London during that time, but I hope it didn't taint your views of our magnificent country?!
