Your posts are ripe with content for a CT, Randy. I don't know how you've survived this long without one.

    Nice, Charlie!

I have a spreadsheet for soap usage and tracking how many shaves are on each tub or sample of soap. I'm feeling like an expansion is needed and I need to start tracking the brushes and razors. Would be interesting to see what gets used the most and least, etc.

I thought that it was more like enough that you could weld them together and *build* a small cruise ship. :)

I suffer from CDO. I just had to alphabetize the abbreviation. Otherwise, it drives me CRAZY. ;)

Wow, Charlie! That's a fair amount of blades!
I use the Shaving Buddy app to track my shaves.

    SS Sharp Star?

Oooooh, that would be sharp, and it would cut right through the water. Would you have to replace the steel after every three-day cruise?

@PickledNorthern's daughters call him a Shaving Nerd. I think a few of us would compete with him for that title. :)

I have a problem, Jim. :) Seriously, I decided to create this spreadsheet before I purchased more blades. When I finished, I stopped thinking about getting more blades.

I counted all my blades in full view of my Bride. She laughed the whole time.

Not sure what is up with the photo this morning- It makes the brush look bent...
Anyway, had a relatively quick 2 pass'er earlier this morning. Results were as they should be and it really doesn't seem to matter what this razor is set at. I've used it everywhere from 3 to wide open. Today I dialed it to 7 for kicks and it performed well again. One more day with it, I think.
    Have a great day all!

If blades cost, say, a dollar a blade, then maybe I'd consider running them until they fall apart, so to speak. Using the P74 to its bitter end, or at least as close as I want to be to the bitter end, is a fun experiment and....in real life.....I'd probably just say 21 shaves and out since I know it isn't horrible at that point. But I do agree that pushing through uncomfortable shaves just to get a bunch of mediocre to bad result shaves as a reward seems a bit eccentric. No reason at all to do that when even the most expensive blades are maybe 40 cents - and that's if you buy them wrong.

The photo effect of the bent brush isn't really a photo effect. Remember - do not try to bend the brush, there is no brush.

The OneBlade Tuxedo did a fabulous job lathering up the JOHS Bay Rum. For being somewhat of a “lazy” shave, the results are pleasing. I did minimal skin stretching, and only two passes with a little touch-up, yet I’m still fairly smooth. Not perfection, but plenty good enough.
