Couple days of growth so I thought about, then acted. Popped a Derby in half and loaded my SS Shavette. Took a few moments to get a good load from the triple milled puck - I thought the Grundtal was airtight, but the English soap was dry as can be in my perpetual 80% humidity. Lather made and applied I took up the very adjustable open blade and realized it's been a while. I took N-to-S WTG's on my cheeks. Then as per my usual pattern considered S-to-N on my neck. Nope. Been too long since I picked up this style of razor. Relathered and finished off with the Fat Boy. I breifly considered an alum rub, but I knew what it would tell me. The AS is high enough in alcohol that I knew my SR skills have slipped. Fortunately Clubman is a lotion so after the burn subsided I felt quite smooth.
I used to be an open blade shaver. Started with shavettes, then SR's. Wasn't until later I discovered DE's & SE's. My grandfather's Dutch. Isn't that weird?
Good Shaves Y'all!
