Very nice, Jason! Too bad about your new soap. Nice save.

This just worked for me. Very generous of him, and I will definitely try to support him if the soap is decent.

Brut! I don’t believe I’ve ever owned a Brut product. I do remember the awful “Because the king bee gets the honey” advertisements in the 80’s...great pic, Jim!

That is a beautiful combo, Randy. Love both the brush and the scales on the razor. I’ve looked seriously at a Shavemac knot a few times!

You’ve got me excited for the soap, Perry! Great B&W this morning.

Another shave at home, Brian! Awesome combo, and maybe you’ll get a few hours to unpack more of your den...

Congrats on finishing another soap, Clint. Interesting that they wouldn’t sell a refill for such a beautiful bowl. Surely this must cost them some return business.

Another great outdoor shot, Doug. I know you’re a golf fan, did you watch any of Brooke Henderson winning the Canadian Open today?

Fantastic write up again, Joseph! Yours are required reading for the 30DC.

Thank you Jason. It would be nice if they sold refills.

The Fatboy set on 9 loaded with a new Rapira Platinum Lux blade delivered a wonderful two-pass shave this morning. The blade easily and comfortably mowed down two days of growth. My first thought is that this blade might not be quite as sharp as a Voskhod, but it was definitely smooth. We'll see, but I think these blades are going to work well for me. I'll continue using them over the next few days and report back on my results.

A big thanks to @clint64 and @Boojum1 for helping me select a couple of knots for my B-400 by Tom solid aluminum brush handle. I purchased this beautifully crafted handle from @twhite last year, and I'm finally putting it in service. I ordered a 23 mm flat top Envy White Supreme Two-band knot for the 25 mm adapter, and I'll eventually order an Omega 10049 Professional boar brush and harvest the knot for the 27 mm adapter. I'm not in a hurry for the boar knot, as I already have a nice Omega 98 Pro boar knot in JR 160.

I hope everyone had a great Sunday!

Nice picture, Jason. Too bad the soap didn't work out for you. I've had the same problem with these craft fair type of purchases.

Thank you, Jason! I may be biased, but I really enjoy Brut, and this is even better.

Doug as always a great picture, it’s good news to see you actively posting again. Welcome back Amigo.

Pressure is a big no-no for a straight too. Finding the most effective angle and doing a 4th pass was the secret sauce for me. Even doing 4 passes I rarely get any irrritation. Doing 4 passes reduces the temptation to get aggressive on the early passes.

Very cool photo, Randy! I like the way you framed the shot using the razor.
As far as the brush...is it a scritch (almost like sharp bristles and kinda "pokey"), or is is scrub (firm, but soft tips)? I'm curious for possibly ordering a Shavemac sometime down the road....
