    NCoxSTL AAACK!

Adjustable (Arko) Anything Goes and whatever else we decide AUGUST!!!!

    August 26

    Razor - Soviet Consul (9)
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Bay Rum
    Brush - Jayaruh #54
    Post - Alum

Back to the Consul for three shaves as we make our way to the end of Adjustable August. I grabbed a Sharp Star blade since I have far too many of this terrible, horrible, really awful blade. Again, if you have any please send them to Cartel HQ for disposal. I don't want anyone else to suffer! Stirling Bay Rum with the JR54 for a really beautiful lather. I do love the traditional Bay Rum scent. More and more.

The consul on 9 is definitely in beast category. More aggressive than a Gillette but still very manageable. Two passes and touch ups and the baby is in the house, though the alum was slightly warm. I'm tired, though, and rushing a bit which seems to be a bad habit I'm growing as I work more hours. I need to rediscover some of the Zen mentality when I get ready to shave. Still, no issues to really worry about and it was a great way to end the day.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Next weekend is, of course, a holiday weekend as we begin SEptember. Hope you will have lots to do to wrap up summer with some fun!

I took the week off and my Dad and Step-mom are coming tomorrow for a three night visit. I might just get some time to organize a few things later in the week.

The weekend was just too short. Up and moving very early this morning. The house is clean and ready for my wife to return this afternoon. At least I was able to get in an excellent shave before starting the morning commute. The backbone and flow through of the Envy White 2 band made face lathering a true joy. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. A splash of Limón and I think I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick H1 injector
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Soap: Soap Commander Vision
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Spearmint aftershave

Back to the grind today. At least a nice shave will start things in the right direction. The Hussy behaved well and swiped away some luxurious Soap Commander lather. A cold finish from Glacial Spearmint to wrap it all up and I'll call it a success.

    Have a great day!

    August 27 SOTD:

    Razor: Parker Variant
    Blade: Astra SP
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft
    Lather: CO Bigelow
    Aftershave: Proraso Green
    Additional Care:
    Osage Rub
    Stirling Unscented PSB

This is a great Monday morning combination, and overall it was a decent shave. My arms were pretty shaky after my workout, and a got a little weeper as a result. Still ended with a DFS level of smoothness, so I can't complain too much. I hope everyone has a great day!
