I need to fix that - it's actually W&S - Wesley & Scott. It was a sample from shavingessentials that came when my wife ordered the IK. What do you want to know about them? They're completely different animals. Well, I lived through it, and I had some bad hair. And not bad as in bad-a$$, but bad as in horrendous. :sick007
how fast do they absorb, How are they in soothing irritation, how well do they moisturize, do they dry tacky, matt, or completely smooth. how long does the scent last
Yes ma'am, I do. :1respect:1respect:1respect what's the myth? That you get BBS, or that there is a BBS? I can get 100% BBS if I want. I pay for it the next day, and I really don't see the need for it personally, but I can achieve it. 100% guaranteed.
I do not get BBS.lt is a myth..I can get close but pay for it and it is gone in few hours. SO i shoot for DFS.... My face feels great right now. Fuzzy
yes. hmm...I may have to do a ½ & ½ tomorrow! Honestly, I like them both. I thought I'd like the W&S better, but when I went back to the milk after a few days, I liked that better than I remembered....I would say for soothing irritation the TSD Milk wins out. For moisturizing...wow that's tough - the W&S maybe b/c it's a bit thicker? It is as thick as my wife's moisturizer, like a thick hand lotion (curel comes to mind..) I'll get back with better answers tomorrow....
Thank Matt. I have the W&S lime sample also, and I will most likely get some TSD milk samples too, but wanted to know what to expect.
What is your DFS standard? For me: 3 passes - WTG, XTG, XTG/ATG (about halfway between XTG (opposite direction of first XTG) and ATG) My cheeks will be BBS, my chin/goatee area will be BBS, and the area straight up from my adam's apple to my chin will be BBS The rest of my neck and mustache area will still have stubble if rubbed in ATG direction... To me, that is DFS. BBS on my neck is not worth it...:mad:
OK, I'll have a better answer for you tomorrow. I got two pucks of IK for Christmas. One is in use right now, and I'm really starting to dig it. Hold onto puck 2? Exchange for another soap? (shavingessentials - my wife already contacted them and they're really cool about exchanging or refunding) Or trade in B/S/T? I'm leaning toward exchanging for Provence Sante... Well, we pulled in a few hours ago. We traveled from Maryland to California to Washington and back to Maryland in ten days. That has to be some kind of record!! Whew...slept in late.....10 hours of sleep is nice! Derby shave cream just sucks! I have tried and tried and it just sucks! Maybe I will superlather with QED lime. On superlather.....I see the Noxema thing was straightened out. I will say that when I ordered yesterday....It said it was available! I have been keeping an eye on it for a while. Anyways.....hope the stuff will be back soon but at least it saved me $45 which I really didnt have Back to shaving....I dont know if the derby was just that bad but I used Thayers lemon for an AS and my face was still dry Applied some Aveda AS gel to help out. Normally the Thayers works fine but I normally use real shave products. I can see why Derby is giving the tubes away. Horrible! Good morning all!
