Hi, a member suggest that I stop by and say hello. Several of you have taken up my offer to get a free sample of my new shaving soap. They are in today's mail.

Please let me know if yours isn't in good shape when it arrives so I can send another. I'm a member here now, so you can send a message. I don't have enough posts yet to share my email, though think it was shared in the free sample offer.

The way I'm able to pull off free samples worldwide is by sending it in a regular mailing envelope. I've had a couple where the USPS rollers caused a problem.

Now, on to this months topic, adjustables. The only one I have, which I love, is a Rockwell 6C. It's new, so I haven't tried all levels. I've had great luck with #3 and #4. #1 is great for a beginner, though experienced folks will probably find it too mild.

as far as blades go, I'm a big Gillette fan. The ultimate blades to me are the white box Platinums. I also like the Silver Blue, current production Platinums and the 7 o'clock super stainless.

One soap for a month? That would be tough. The ones in my rotation currently are my soap, Castle Forbes, Pre de Provence 63, Baum.be and WSP shaving cream.

After shave? I make most of what I use myself.

Great to drop by and say hello!

Hello Pete and :signs046: to TSD. What size are your samples? I think this is a good way to advertise your products.

Samples are .5 oz, which is roughly ten shaves. Looks like you are a Marine. Thank you for your service.

My best friend Billy is an Army Veteran and extremely smug about Tom Brady and the Patriots. So, every so often I'll say, "Billy, I have a friend that wants to learn how to shoot accurately. Do you know any Marine's that may be able to help?"

:happy102: yes I know a few that might be able to help. Post your Web site and I'll buy a soap. Will I get a discount :happy102: ?

Yes, Marine's always love that one. The first time I said that to Billy he went into a couple of seconds tremors/convulsions. hahaha

The website is hendrixclassics.com Use the code SUB100 for free shipping. The soap comes in 3 and 6 oz. Also, do you use shave balm. I have some in the testing phase and can include it with your soap. There would be no charge. I need more feedback on the balm before finalizing and selling it.

Hello, Pete! Welcome to TSD. I recently received one of your samples and used it in yesterday's shave. Nice soap! Slick, easy to lather, able to hold a good amount of water, etc. All the good stuff you look for in a soap! Glad to have you with us.

Douglas, I just sent you an email. The SUB100 code only works for the US. Let me figure out what to do and I'll email you.

    Astra SP (2nd use)
    Bluebeard Doubloon Boar Brush

    Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm

Took my time with this one! Performed my 'standard' two pass shave: First pass WTG on cheeks, jaw and neck, XTG under chin. Second pass XTG on cheeks, jaw and under chin, WTG on neck.

Resulted in a close, comfortable shave everywhere but under my chin. I really need to shave ATG under there but wasn't feeling it tonight. Some burn/tingle from the aftershave... Probably (hopefully) residual irritation from yesterday because I really watched my pressure today!

    Hey Pete.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks also for the soap sample. I look forward to giving it a try. I hope you decide to stick around and post your daily shaves. You don't have to do a rule, although it is highly recommended for beginners or those desiring to improve their technique by eliminating variables. You could certainly do a soap focus by rotating among the products you have. If you've been at this for awhile, it is a great place to share your knowledge. Or you can just join in on the shenanigans. The thread is non-hijackable, or otherwise I would have been kicked out long ago.

@BaylorGator, bring the cookie plate over and share some of them with Pete.

    Again, welcome!

Hot and humid today. With my brother I am building my daughter a deck.
Postponed my shave until coming in out of the heat.
Continued with the Perma-Sharp (shave 2) in the Old Type.
The B&M Tuesday sample once again provided an exceptional lather.
The Paladin 28mm is a scrubby fellow---but delivers.
    Mowed down the stubble down/across/up

Finished the shave with as much lather on my face as when I started.
8 1/2g of menthol crystals in a 7oz bottle of Florida Water = CHILLY!
(Have to remember to keep it away from my eyes)

    Hi Pete,
Thanks so much for the sample order yesterday and agreeing to ship it to Canada, much appreciated! Thanks as well for the email correspondence. Welcome, and like others have already said, I encourage you to stick around our little thread a bit.

    August 27, 2018- August Gold

Razor: Post-War NDC Fat-Handle Gold Tech
    Blade: Dorco Titan (2)
    Brush: Semogue 620
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

For the last few days of August, I will be switching off between the Dorco Titan and Dorco Prime Platinum in a pair of NDC post-War Techs. TBH, I really can't see much difference between the two blade so far as both seem to be excellent blades. A very satisfying Monday shave.
