'No Pressure' is a changing variable, I found. When I first was conscious of using no pressure, I still found that my most aggressive razors (PAL Injectomatic and a few others) would still cause me numerous nicks and/or irritation. Then, as the months went by, I found that No Pressure meant even less pressure and the nicks/irritation disappeared. This was also true of where and when I could do ATG passes. You may find something similar- you think you are using no pressure, and then as the months roll along, you will realize that your standard for No Pressure will change. I swear that a few razors almost end up being 'reverse' pressure at times...

Yes, weekends are entirely too short, Clint! What a great combo and pic to start Monday off, however.
Looks like a great 'Menthol Monday', Perry!
You're making me feel guilty, Jim, talking about how sore your arms were after the workout. I stood outside on the porch very early this morning, saw rain, took my running gear back off and said forget it.
Your daughter is picking some great effects, btw!
Adding Menthol to Florida Water, Joseph? Heck yes! I might have to go one of each.

Thanks for dropping by, Pete. I’m not sure who clued you in to stop by our thread in particular, but I’m the guilty party who is probably responsible for a large chunk of your inventory headed out the door. As you know, I’ve been really pleased with my custom knife, and looking forward to the custom razor in the works, and wanted the crew here at the 30DC to be aware of the great stuff you make and the generosity you’ve shown to the wetshaving community. Cheers, brother!

Getting an early start on SR September, I switched things up to the 5/8 Dovo, focusing on “no pressure”. No irritation at all, but the neck still remains my main challenge. Honestly, to end up BBS there is going to require a good E-W and W-E pass, which I still haven’t figured out the blade gymnastics to accomplish. Glad I’m getting an early start.

Thanks for dropping into the thread! Hopefully you’ll continue to join in. I also jumped on the chance to try your soap, and am looking forward to trying it out! Thanks for making the offer...great way to get your brand out there.

As others have said, welcome to the 30DC, Pete! Stick around! I think you'll like it here. And thank you for the offer of samples of your shaving soap. I think I will take you up on that. However, I do have a question: where are the knives? When Randy @BaylorGator told us about you, he showed a photo of a beautiful custom knife he had just bought from you. I went to your website partly to see the soap but mainly to look for a custom knife. Where are you hiding them?

Gillette Fatboy refurbished by Delta Echo in Ink black/red / Nacet (4)
Semogue Owners Club re-knotted with APShaveCo Tuxedo knot
    Fendrihan Lavender Sandalwood soap sample
Alum and TSD Milk Aftershave - Lavender and Sandalwood mixed

Today I went back to using up my Fendrihan soap sample. When I compressed together the soap chips from the two sample bags I had, I ended up with about a 2oz puck. I think about half of it is still left, so it's going to take awhile for me to finish using it up. Maybe that will be one of my projects for September. The soap is pretty good. It isn't quite as slick or with quite as good a postshave face feeling as my favourite tallow and lanolin soaps, but for a vegan soap, it's excellent. The scent is light but pleasant. (Fendrihan notes that the scent is light enough it won't interfere with any preferred aftershave or cologne, so the light scent is apparently a feature and not a bug.) The Tuxedo knot is reliable in whipping up a consistent lather. Two easy passes with the razor and I'm at my usual DFS. No complaints from the alum. I used the balm mainly because I like it and not because I needed it to patch up mistakes.

Remember “Ol’ Shedder”? It’s back, rockin’ a totally new hairdo. The new knot is a TGN 2-band Finest. Only one use so far, but….no shedding. I expected it to drop a few, being new. Nope. Nuthin. It’s a good start.

I have another brush waiting in the wings, which I’m very excited to use. And...it looks like tomorrow morning it shall be! My new razor just showed up today, after a long wait.

Broke out the Schick Revere that hasn’t been used in awhile. Nice, smooth shave.
