I have a TGN Finest too, Bruce, and find it a very nice knot. Mine is a fan, not a bulb as yours appears to be, however. I don’t recall it ever shedding at all, actually.

 

While I would like to confirm that my presence here has nothing to do with asylum or any other political agenda, I am afraid I must decline any specifics. Just safer that way. And fewer questions at tax time.

Another late night of running food around town. After a long day of selling a bed or two. I continue to add hours to my "side job" and the money is paying off but I will admit I'm losing track of days at this point. My mind will eventually catch up.

One nice thing about shaving at night is it provides a nice relaxing end to the evening. Day two of the Consul razor wide open and I grabbed the Wheatstate soap that @Drygulch gifted me at the meetup. I've only used it once since then so I figured it needed another round. While I'm not sure of the barbershop scent it is still very pleasant, and the lather was plenty slick and protective. After the shave I squeezed out the brush to check it and found it to be quite nice. I have the matching aftershave splash that I'll use before heading out in the morning.

The shave was a two pass, BBS with no issues at all. A very relaxing and comfortable shave. Now to try and catch up a bit, get all the necessary electronics on chargers and get some sleep in a bit. Have a great night and a better tomorrow!

Great to hear that yours hasn't ever shed, and it'll be perfectly fine if this one doesn't either! I've seen lots of brushes on TSD with TGN knots (geez, back to back acronyms), and have heard good things about them. The fan almost got picked over the bulb, as I have a Stirling brush w/ a 24mm Finest fan, and I enjoy using that brush a lot.

Nice and easy Tobacco Tuesday shave. Luscious lather from the Cahaba Blues soap and effortless shaving with the J1 injector. Silky finish from the Tobacco Bay Leaf splash. Splendid all around.
