    Shave Report #9

Gillette (Flat Bottom) Fat Handle Tech (Made in England)
Astra SP (3rd and final use)
    Bluebeard Doubloon Boar Brush
    TOBS Peppermint
    Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm

A much better shave today... I think I have found a good way to shave my neck that gives more than acceptable results and does not cause any irritation. On the first pass I shave diagonally up (centre to ear if you will), and on the second pass I shave diagonally down. My beard kind of grows from the middle out... My previous passes were too aggressively XTG I think!

I did end up with a couple of TINY weepers under my chin... I was overshaving there to see if I could get it closer than I have been doing (4 passes this time!)

    Enjoy your shaves gents!

Thank you all! Alas, Bruce, I'm not sure a big bottle of the Splash will be left in my Christmas stocking anytime soon...

    Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Gillette Fatboy (9)
    Rapira Platinum Lux(3)
Epsilon White Horse (26mm, Frigate Class)
Stirling For Him soap and AS

Today we had a newborn and family photo shoot so a shave was in order and I wanted to smell good but in a subtle sort of way. Stirling For Him fit the bill nicely and made an excellent slick lather for the wide open Fatboy to do it's work. Two passes left me just short of BBS and I finished with a generous splash of the AS which did in fact get a positive comment from my wife.

Tomorrow I go back to work and am kind of sad to leave my wife and Declan at home but at the same time am eager to get back into a normal routine. Well I guess as normal as it can be with an infant at home. Have a great day my friends.

Thank you, Clint! It is exactly that - a functional piece of art, which does pair well with the Karve. Or to class up any shave, with any razor. Hopefully it got it coated well enough. If not, since the knot is set with silicone, it can easily be pulled and resealed. It’s a brush that will stay in the den, and give me many years of enjoyment. And, I’ll think of you and Doug each and every time I use it.

The Karve is quite efficient, and I’m glad I only got the D plate. I don’t believe that I have much need for, nor would I use additional plates, considering that I shave every day.

How are you feeling? Hopefully better...

Congrats on the progress! You have the right idea, do whatever works best for you, and the way the hair grows. So long as you get a good shave, without any drama, who cares how you do it?
