Thanks very much Bruce. The handle is heavy enough to use as a weapon should you get attacked while shaving. No matter what brush I'm using the WDC-6 is always close by.

 

Yes indeed! It’s a beast. How many of them did you ever make? Think you’ll get back into the game again someday, or has that ship sailed?

 

There was 6 WDC-6 and 6 WDC-8 made. I have one of each remaining. The WDC-8 is smaller and lighter.

 

Andrew - great to see you post again! Awesome shave and photo. I can't imagine how busy and tired you are.

Thank you, Perry! I learned with Logan that after a while the body learns how to function in a perpetual sleep deprived state. Right now we are up three times a night with the baby and I'm not feeling too bad during the day. Well see how it goes at work though.

I guessed incorrectly. I figured the WDC-8 meant that is was a 28mm, and (gasp!) a heavier handle.

 

I am feeling a little better. I was able to eat a little something this evening. Maybe a good night's rest will make a big difference.

August Focus

The soap sample from Mondial was included when I purchased the brush.
Scent reminds me of the original P.160 (Figaro Sapone Speciale) albeit VERY faint.
Good lather. Nothing outstanding.
Thought to myself, let's see if I remember how to shave with my '11 R41.
I haven't used it since the end of July Focus.
The results were excellent. No problems whatsoever.
Good third shave with the Perma-Sharp.
I was in the mood for some Jasmine, so...

I assume you’re talking about the gear to Adams apple, that was the hardest one for me to figure out. What I do to shave my right side my left hand over my hand and grab my cheek, tilt my head back and hold the razor upside down. Alum on the finger tips helps, pulling up on the skin and tilting your head will create a flat plane. Try experimenting with an empty shavette to figure out the grip. To shave the left switch hands, so this technique works only if you use both hands. This was the final step for me in getting BBS for my neck.
