Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Personna Ultra Chrome
    Razor: Schick L5 'Revere' injector
Brush: Ever Ready 100T restored badger
Soap: First Canadian Shave Maximo Gomez
Post: Witch hazel, Pitralon Classic aftershave

Nice shave with the Revere injector. This First Canadian shave soap is terrific. Easy lather with nice slickness provided the backdrop for easy whisker reduction from the injector. Good splash of Pitralon for the close and all came together quite well. No complaints.

    Have a great day!

Great report and photo, Joseph! Oddly, I find Cella to be somewhat opposite of your impressions. The scent is strong, almost sickly sweet, in a (normally) good way, and plenty slick. Not my absolute favorite soap, but still a good one.

TOBS peppermint uses peppermint oil, which has a similar cooling effect to menthol. FYI, when I did my original 30 day rule, I used tobs creams in different "flavors", and had great results. It broke up the monotony of the "one soap" gig. As @Screwtape said, just don't switch between lines of the same brand or back and forth between a soap and cream of the same brand, and you should be fine.

There are shaves when everything is just rocking along without an issue at all when all of the sudden blood. Nicked myself pretty good just below my lip on the final pass. I had to resort to the styptic pencil. With the exception of the blood, the shave was great. A splash of Balsamica and I am off to the Vet with Mocha for her annual exam and shots. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Just because I drew blood yesterday, didn't mean that you had to today. :)
Same thing for me...going along so well, then BAM! I had to get my styptic out too...first time in quite awhile. Happens to the best of us at times.
Good luck with the vet appointment, and with the rest of the day.
Gorgeous photos and lineup today, Clint!
Give Mocha a pet from me!

Thank you Perry. Mocha is getting to be an old girl at 14. She’s not nearly the handful she was earlier.

Thank you Bruce. Mocha hates going to the Vet as much or more than I hate going to the doctor. At least I remembered her muzzle.

    Killer setup, Neal!
Excellent shot Perry! Is the Pitralon a tobacco scent ?
The soap that comes in the 1k block and the cream that comes in the tub are not quite the same. I believe Joseph has a chunk of soap that someone sent him off of the 1k block.
A pair of beautiful photos, Clint!Mocha looks to be a fun loving and energetic girl!

Cella scent was stronger today. Maybe it just needed to get some use.

    Round Two Cella
Second shave with the Cella. Seems to have picked up some scent overnight.
    Not too sweet.

Much improved slickness. Even the 4x used Perma-Sharp slid through the stubble.
No irritation; no cuts; no nicks; no weepers.
M&F...softest brush I own. Mink stole soft.
My eyes are still watering from the mentholated Florida Water.
