Say it ain’t so! The knot you send to Neal should be 28mm. I recommend a nice Synthetic as the hole is hollowed to 14mm...
He knew us well with his bet, it appears. At least we get some blades out of it

And if you finish with a group hug? Well, I'll just leave that right there.

We're about to start our annual SE lovefest!! I figured you'd pop your head up out of the bayou.

Send away if you'd like. That razor looks about Soviet-level for sure. As for the cream - I'm still convinced that a lot of those that they are pushing as "shave creams" are actually after shave balms but the language barrier is making it hard to nail it down. As always, my face and expert opinion is always available as exactly as valuable as it costs.

Gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure. As promised:

Except this particular tube of cream was sent to me by a Russian who said it was called "Soap" and was the simplest shaving cream sold in the shops. So I don't think this one is aftershave balm.

I might as well ship you the razor and cream as I am going to have to send you a knot soon anyway, as I am about to break my NB'18. Jason suggests a 28mm synthetic to fit the handle he is making or has made for you. Sound about right? Any particular kind of synthetic you would prefer?

Another great post this morning, Joseph! That brush is beautiful! Looks like it's quite dense. How is the backbone?
Good to hear the Cella worked better for you today. I didn't realize that the block Cella, and the tub Cella, were a little different until Andrew pointed it out. I've seen it posted somewhere, sometime back, that some people felt it was the same. Either way, I'm sure they're more similar than not, and it's still a decent soap.

Inquiring minds want to know - what are you breaking the NB for? As to the type of synthetic - I lilke the Maggard that is in my JR46. Also the Tux is nice in the 30DC brush. Can't say I'm too terribly picky beyond just my preferences. Surprise me. :)

“The Weapon” loaded the Champs De Lavande with ease. Side note - I found I have to soak “The Weapon” in a mug, not the sink as I do my other brushes. The weight of the handle is enough that it flattens the knot a bit, and causes it to fall over. Face lathering was dreamy. Adding a little water as I went along brought slickness out to play. Zero issues there. Pure decadence, actually.

It’s a shame this soap is no longer made. The scent is delightful, and so is the performance itself. The label, however, suffers from some of the worst graphics to ever grace a shaving soap. Reminds me of an 80’s Atarti game. Like, totally. Gag me with a spoon.

    First pass…very nice.
Second pass…cruising along nicely until I got around My Nemesis - just like yesterday. Son of a…..gun! I bit myself again. Didn’t feel anything - like yesterday…but weepers appeared. There was still a little of yesterday’s irritation left over, which certainly didn’t help matters. At least I didn’t need to break out the styptic again. The weepers stopped after a cold water rinse. However, the irritation is there.

I am smooth though…and I sho do smell purty!

Excellent photo Bruce. I'm sure you will get the problem areas worked out with the Karve. As for worst graphics I humbly submit the following labels from TFS:
