Well that's the reward for breaking a NB. The floodgates open and you get to roll around in all of the new stuff! BTW, the handle arrived today so my new brush is halfway home!

 

John, thanks for the feedback about the shaving products. Shaving cream 'Soap' refers to the most budgetary price category. To get a good shave you need to squeeze a lot of cream. The cream consumption is big. I do not use this cream, and added it to the package as a product from Russia. Which will take place on the shelf with shaving accessories. Perhaps you will use it sometimes. I'm waiting for your opinion on the blades of Gillete Rubi. This is a new version of the package. The package contains a QR code. On the blade laser engraving, on the one hand. I really liked these blades.
The razor Gilette, which I received in PIF from Screwtape , became my daily razor. I gladly show it in Russian forums.

Расход крема большой. Я не пользуюсь этим кремом, и добавил его в пакет, как продукт из России. Который займёт место на полке с бритвенными аксессуарами. Возможно вы будете пользоваться им иногда.
Очень жду вашего мнения о лезвиях Gillete Rubi. Это новая версия упаковки. На упаковке есть QR код. На лезвии лазерная гравировка, с одной стороны. Мне эти лезвия очень понравились.

Yes, when I did my second pass, I put a lot more cream in the bowl -- about twice as much as I loaded the first time. So together I used about three times as much cream as I do when using something like TOBS cream -- and I felt I still didn't use enough. Thanks for confirming that. I will try the Russian-packaged Arko cream tomorrow.

I decided to use the Rapira instead of the Rubie today because I knew the Rapira was a sharp smooth blade and I wasn't sure what the razor was like. I will use the Rubie tomorrow with my Gillette Tech razor to give the blade a fair test with a razor I know and like.

I am glad to know the Tech I sent you is treating you well. The Techs are not flashy but they are excellent razors.

And thanks again for the package. It is fun to try products from different parts of the world, even if they don't always work for us.

I received my soap sample from Hendrix Classics & Co. Very nice performance. Subtle clean scent. My sample didn't travel well. Half of it was smashed into the paper spread really thin. I could probably load my brush right off the paper if I were so inclined. Thank you, @Pete123 for the opportunity to try your soap.

I ALMOST broke mine-when the apparent message I was getting from Local Gent Shaving was that they were shutting down their business, thus they had some nice discounts of a lot of their products. I didn't make a purchase though, as I like my current and future lineup, but I was going to get another soap from LG next year or the year after.

This year I have been focusing on finishing off soaps, I have learned that they last much longer than I thought and that with consistent daily usage I am better at dialing them in.

Thank you, the more I use smiling blades the more I like them.
