My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the B-400 Brush by Tom. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 Straight Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

rushed my prep, and the Weber/Permasharp reminded me just how unforgiving it can be, when I get sloppy.. other than that, it was a fantastic shave.

Ooh, I do fancy a bit of Lust at the weekends.. and this did not disappoint... another fantastic release from West of Olympia, helping ‘The Rock’/Permasharp combo to deliver a wonderful shave. Bang tidy, that!

Stirling Sandpiper today. 20 seconds to load Thater Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna Med Prep still in the Gillette NEW Long Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Sandpiper aftershave.

Not shown - my 50's Super Speed, my Plissoft 26mm synthetic, and my Nivea facial wash. There's a Wriggly Tin Spicy Bay Rum soap in the white container behind the Prep. Krampert's Bay Rum and Aramis as my fragrance.

How do you like the Chubby synth, Mark? I haven’t noticed a synthetic that is significantly better than a Yaqui (which are cheap), so haven’t seen the need to spend the money on one. Having said that, BAD flows through my veins looking for new brushes...

Randy I love the Chubby 2 Synthetic. I agree with Rudy Vey. It's the best synthetic out there.
