Found these at a local junk store.
I don't or didn't have any old DE razors just new. But the price seemed right $22 for all. Some lite cleaning and disinfectant and I have 5 new to me razors to try out.

Nice set. From here, it looks like a Pre-War Tech, Travel Tech, 50s SuperSpeed (TV Special?), Slim Adjustable, and Black-Handle SuperSpeed. Easily worth what you paid.

I think it's called a black tip instead of black handle super speed

Although Gillette still called them Super Speeds (Light/Regular/Heavy).

    Idk what that means
In 50 and 51 the was the black tip. Predecessor to the blue tip, silver and red tip. images-3.jpg
Later on, like early 70s very late 60s they made the black handle super Speed. download.jpg
Let that's how I've known them called.

Correct, of course. Black-handled would be the ones starting in the mid-1960s.

That thread in the straight razor forum got me to know that I NEEDED an Arkie.
I love the idea of doing tons of laps... almost meditating. And if I am honing that long, I wanted it to look cool.
I think I found what I was looking for:

Found in the wild today. A beautiful prewar tech, in the box, with 1 blade. Seller says unused, but three blades went somewhere... How about just slightly used.

Yes, and the box is in really good shape too for its age.
