Sorry. My bad. Make sure you don't share any dirty needles. Unless they have a high enough alcohol content to make that unnecessary I suppose.

    SEptember is a Stirling month!

September 2 (Time warping again here people - it's my newest hobby)

Razor - Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf
    Blade - CVS Carbon SE
Soap - Stirling small stupid sheep.jpg
Brush - Stirling Pro Style Synthetic
    Finish - Alum

Well I thought I'd get posted up before midnight. I'm close. So close. Another fairly long day though this one didn't start until 11 a.m. Ended about an hour ago. Good day, though, and I decided to end it a bit better than the bloody spectacle last night. How does one solve a new razor? Simple. One RULES with it. Now, I'm not going to do 30 days with it just yet anyway, but I'll do a solid 5 to get the feel. Since it's similar to the OCMM it may fall into place within that time.

I chose the Sheep tonight for its extra luxurious and protective slickness. Scent is secondary. I need some SLICK stuff. The big Stirling brush provided more than enough. I did two passes and neck touch ups to a near-BBS and that was just fine. I made sure to let the weight of the razor do all the work. I held it so loosely it was almost slipping out of my hands a few times. Just let gravity do its thing. The alum was still warm in places but the finish, while very close to the baby, was also blood free and not as hot as last night. Progress!

The blade feels nice and smooth after two shaves and I'm thinking I can get 5 shaves out of it. Definitely going to try. My Treets should be in later this week. Hope your Monday starts your week off in a fantastically wonderful and successful manner!

While any kind of cookie is wonderfully enticing, giving up the Iced Coffee at this point is probably not within the realm of possibilities. I do love me that soap! I'm hoping he will bring it back and we can all share in its wonderful icy dark roasted goodness!

A while back, Charlie posted about losing weight for his health and mentioned he had some other cronies going in with him. I am one of those cronies. I didn’t want to say anything until I made sufficient progress, but yesterday I hit 10 pounds lost, and decided to come clean. My methodology - track my calories consumed on the LoseIt App, use portion control to eat half of what we’ve been convinced is a normal portion (I happen to be using NutriSystem, which is nothing more than calorie controlled, portion controlled servings of meals), have a reasonable snack in between meals, and finally... utilize my type A personality to try and beat my calorie goal every day. Yes, I know that last one is not sustainable, but I might as well put my tendency to overdo things to good use until I get tired of starving. Like Charlie, I’ve got a long way to go to reach my final goal, but I’m off to a good start. Thanks @wristwatchb For starting the conversation and getting things going.

The point of all this is that this thread, if anywhere, proves that life is a team sport and we all need to rally together. If anybody wants to get on board with us I’m sure we’d entertain a PM thread (or possibly even regular thread) for encouragement. If not, feel free to go back to your regularly scheduled shaving activities...

Great photo and report Jason. You were the model of restraint. I’m not sure I would have been as good.

I feel rather focussed this morning, especially after a wonderful B&M Seville shave.
Once again, thank you @Str8on2 for the soap.

B&M scents are all over the charts. Seville is a traditional as it gets.
Colonia dupe for sure, it's still a classic scent.
Combine that with the excellent soap base and you have a "must-own" soap.
What a boar knot on the Mondial 26mm. THE BEST boar knot I have ever owned.
That list contains Semogue, Omega and Thäter.

The Mondial (Zenith/ABC) blows them ALL out of the water.
The Lord Big Ben made its final appearance today.
When a razor blade refuses to clean up my neck without pressing...buh-bye.
Forwent chasing the baby and the results were still better than a DFS.
Seville AS completed an excellent Labor Day shave.

Glad you enjoy it my friend... :happy088:
On another note, I’m on the search for another Boar. If I may ask, how long was the break in period for the Mondial? Thanks in advance... :eatdrink047:
