    Cold Water Wash
    Mitchell's Wool Fat
    B-400 by Tom
    Rocket 5/8
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the B-400 Brush by Tom. I did two passes with the Rocket 5/8 Straight Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Prompted by friends 's sotd and his Iwasaki kamisori I went with one of mine this morning
It came home for being loaned out to a friend and I had put a new Nakayama edge on her a few weeks ago

Used the TGQ Highlander soap and A/S today that Colleen Hurley had sent for me to try out.. Second time using tis combo and it is pretty damn impressive even with my "Chip a Tooth" hard well water..
Our well water will humble so many Artisan soaps, but then again Colleen has been making shave soaps for longer than just about anyone out there...
ShaveMac 26mm Horn handled Silvertip brush

One single pass and and some line touch up
    Super comfortable

ps: gotta thank Roy for my towel hanging on the wall and my wife for donating that super heavy glass Lather Bowl that she got with one of her candles LOL

Today's shave was with an American Made Razor. I had a very smooth, 2 pass shave, with little touch-ups, that left me BDBS. Great shaving razor, and I like the shape, a lot. I think it's a French point.

    Razor- A.B.Shipley & Son. Philadelphia.
Brush- The Art Of Shaving, Pure Badger. (Floppy and Scritchy). Not worth the money.
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
    Aftershave- Avons "Bay Rum".

Test shave for a restored L. Pelleray frameback. Cream was Atkinsons for Gentlemen lathered with a Duke 3 and a splash of Thayers lavender topped it off.

    Cheers, Steve

Todays shave was with a Commemorative Razor, from the 1890's. I had a very nice and smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. Great razor, as expected, from Boker.

Razor- H.Boker. Germany. "American Line, SS. St.Louis".
Brush- RazoRock 400 with WD High Mountain Badger knot.
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Ships Cannon Decanter.

    Interesting read about the ship:
SS St. Louis, was a transatlantic passenger liner built by the William Cramp & Sons Building & Engine Company, Philadelphia and was launched on 12 November 1894; sponsored by Mrs. Grover Cleveland, wife of the President of the United States; and entered merchant service in 1895, under United States registry for the International Navigation Co., of New York City with her maiden voyage between New York and Southampton, England. She was acquired by the United States Navy during the Spanish–American War and commissioned under the name USS St. Louis in 1898, and again during World War I under the name USS Louisville (ID-1644) from 1918 to 1919.[Note 1] After she reverted to her original name in 1919, she burned in 1920 while undergoing a refit. She was scrapped in 1924 in Genoa.

I’m psyched! But when you see the razor I fully expect you to think...
    :signs047:
Work drove me to look for a mind numbing project razor. This Johnson Cast Steel from Sheffield fit that bill. Days of 400/600 grit work and even filing off part of the toe that made a 90 degree turn... definitely makes it hard to lay flat on a hone :). But I enjoyed every minute of it!!!!
Here you go... the beauty queen

    $3 well spent.
    Enjoy your shave!

I was just curious, as to why they would etch a ship on a razor. It was probably sold as a souvenir commemorating their voyage.
