SOS: September 2018

Tonight’s shave was more a touch up than anything else. I’ll be backpacking trails of Isle Royale soon and letting my beard grow out. The F has been calling to me with it’s classic good looks (thanks @120inna55) so I used it to trim the borders. Wonderful.

It is a mild scent of pine needles. I like it. The soap is coniferous also and even my wife can tolerate it which is unusual.

I have not tried Tom Ford Grey Vetiver so no idea if R4L is a close representation or not, but I do like the aroma on this one and pretty much last all day on me.

September 4

Another time warping shave as I actually completed the shave just barely after midnight, though it counts for the 4th, not the 5th. I thought I'd be home a bit earlier than that tonight but that last delivery ran me long. At least it smelled good while I had it in the car.

Shave four on the Clog Pruf with CVS carbon blade. The blade is still smooth and noisy though a couple of times I might have detected just a shade of a tug. Nothing to worry about. I'll get the 5th shave out of it tomorrow. The Treet blades came in today so they'll be loaded up after this one is done. Nothing wrong with the CVS blades. I just like the Treet better.

Two passes and touch ups. Stirling soap and brush. Excellent all the way around. Finish was a very high level DFS with quiet alum. Fine, fine way to end a busy day. I'm seeing some interesting things that popped up here today so I'll try to catch up a bit while I eat. Have a great Wednesday!

Big was the theme tonight. I started with the huge Big Red, next up was the massive ikon/ ikon combo. Nice shave, that is, nice big shave.
