What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Today's shave was with a Japanese "Rat Razor". It may look rough, but it shaves smooooooth, leaving BBS results. I love these old Japanese Blades.

Razor- Japanese "Cherry 92", Best Steel.
Brush- B400, By Tom(@twhite )
Soap- Arko/Sandalwood scented
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. "The Admiral" Decanter.

Overall Great shave, a little irritation but I think I need to Re Hone the razor or should have used a Fresh edge when doing this kind of Job. The Scent of the soap is so enjoyably simple that I think I could use it everyday and not even think twice about it. I am really happy with the scent and the wifey loves it as well which is an indefinite bonus!

Brush: Valasta T-400 with boar knot
Soap: Stirling Lime
After shave: Niviea cooling balm

Had a great shave today and first use of the boar knot with my T-400. Brush was really stiff and scrubby but it was the first use and I expect it to break in over time. All and all, A really great shave!

Gold Rex 13/16 and I Coloniali Mango Oil lathered with a Tulip 2. A splash of Harris Pink was followed by I Coloniali Rhubarb balm after dry down.

Thanks, but it's definitely no beauty queen. It does have a special place in the rotation though. I always enjoy using it.

 

Today's shave was with a Japanese "Pimp Stick". It has the bling, but definitely Not on my top ten. It delivers a good shave, but I expect better. I had an OK 2 pass shave, with a few touch-ups, that left me with a DFS. Not the usual for Japanese Steel.
