Pleased with my shave this morning-I'm slowly getting used to the routine of shaving my cheeks first, then chin area. Seems logical, as I apply the soap/cream/foam to the cheek area first after all. Heat advisory today, thus the Stoylin Glacial Wintergreen was a must.(Course ANY Glacial would do).

Wonderful shave and photo Perry. All you guys with the Stirling convinced me to give it another try. I ordered the Stirling R4L soap and aftershave set the other night.

I thought you mentioned that you were the other day. I generally take all my photos for the week on Saturday or Sunday. If not I do like you and take them the night before.

    Thank you Jim.

I wish more companies offered very small samples of cologne. It would make things easier.

    September 6

Hello gents! I'm back from a short trip to northern Ohio with my Bride and a couple of friends. My daily shaves for the last few days were straight out of my travel kit, which consisted of a Trac II handle loaded with a Personna blade, my trusty Kent BK4 brush, a Tabac shave stick, and unrefined shea butter. I'm not feeling up to par today, so I resorted to a quick shower shave this morning using a Dorco cart, brushless Neutrogena shave cream, unrefined shea butter, and Trumper Skin Food.

Unfortunately, I'm too far behind to catch up, so I'll just jump in. I'll stick with my Fatboy, and will continue to focus on using up my LPL soap and a bottle of Trumper Skin Food. I also plan to continue trying some new-to-me Russian DE blades compliments of @NCoxSTL.

We visited a lumber company in Northern Ohio that stocked quite the variety of lathe-ready exotic woods. The pieces were expensive, but they wouldn't be too bad spread across several @Jayaruh brush handles. I almost buckled under the temptation, but I remembered that I had a B-400 by Tom aluminum handle and and an Envy White Supreme Two-band knot waiting at home. I'll definitely keep it in mind if we make a return trip.

    Have a great day, all!

Was this trip to get ideas for your new house?

I hope so Andrew. Stirling was my first soap purchase in 2014 along with TOBS. I really enjoyed the Vanilla Sandalwood scent and performance. Then Wade and I ordered 4 more soaps. The scents were so bad that we just threw them in the trash. So since then I have been reluctant to give Stirling another try. The chance to contribute to a good cause and given the products another try was too good to pass up.
