Ok this isn't a what's better thread. What I want to know is how do others razors by Gillette compare to the settings on a Slim. A Tech, The NEW SC and LC, etc. Thank you.

My slim on a 3 is close to a tech, and superspeed, 2 is slightly less aggressive then a de89.. my parker 24 open comb is at about a 5. At 9 its still less aggressive then fattip or r41. I have heard different comparisons from others. I usually use my slim on a 6 or 7.

Besides the gap on a razor, other things can also influence it's aggressiveness. It's weight, balance, angle when shaving and head shape can add to it. It can also be a personal thing as every person's shave is different. Saying that, I keep my Gillette adjustables on either #6 or #7, depending on how many days it's been since I shaved.

The gap doesn't shave the hair.

I care. I posted this because I've used a slim and I want to know how other Gillettes compare to the different settings.

I almost didn't believe it when I first started DE shaving, but you are correct. Shame you have to say it so much Fuzzy.

A FaTip and a Tech sure don't feel the same to me.

Don't give Fuzzy the credit here. I said it all in post #8. Besides, it'll just go to his head. :happy102:

The end result would be that they both leave you equally smooth, which for me they don't. It's all according to your point of view and how you word sentences. I still beg to differ however, but lets agree to disagree.

That's not gap -- the Fatip has none -- that's exposure. Exposure is something that you do feel.
