We should all know by now, but if that razor isn't working don't give up and try another blade. I bought a Calypso M1 and it was extremely mild. I bought the R1 baseplate, and used a Dorco Prime, twice, and it was terrible both times. I wanted to give up on that razor but I loaded a fresh feather, and aside from a few weepers it was much better.
The Dorco Prime Platinum is usually a pretty decent blade. Put the rest aside and come back to them later; you may be surprised.
Dorco Primes are good, Feathers are good, Perma-Sharps are also good. The thing is as most of us who have been doing this for a while know that razor x and blade y may work for you but maybe not for I. I like Dorcos in my Krona but not Feathers. Thats why noobs need to know this.
Always a good idea to try some different blades before giving up. But on the other hand, sometimes, it really is the razor.
I had to give up. M1 is too mild and R1 isn't agreeing with me. I don't know if I can post this but I'm selling it with both base plates. If that's against the forum rules I apologise. If not it's listed in the Classifieds.
Good Morning Sir, Would You Happen To Know The Blade Gap On That M1.... My Skin is Very Receptive To Mild Razors.. ( Super Sensitive Skin)
