Today's shave was with a Japanese Frameback, that I havent used in a couple of years. It was tucked away, and I forgot about it. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. I do love these Japanese Razors.

Razor- 弥一 YAICHI 東京 Frameback. Swedish Steel
    Brush- Omega 10098
    Soap- Arko/Sandalwood
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Mmmmm Mmmmmm Good

Tried a sample of the previous version Flying Hide (leather) which was ok but heard he revised the formula and everyone stated heck of a lot better so sprung for 3 combinations this time and have tried "The Trail" today, the first one out of the revised batch that I bought. Big Improvement over previous batch. The Trail scent is mid strength and does remind me of the inland woods of Northern California to mid woodland areas of Oregon I have fished and hunted. Only thing I felt that was missing was the brisk cool breeze in ones face first thing in the morning when you walk out of the cabin or open the flap of the tent so I added couple of drops TSD M-bomb. Added too much to the soap which somehow brought out more of the smokiness of the pine tar and too cold on the face but perfect when added to the AS. Lather wise, super easy to lather up yogurt consistency, hard to really judge the slickness as I have been testing GroomingDept Preshave balm and it is the BOMB. By far the best preshave balm I have used to date and I have 7 different balms and butters and 22 EO based oils in the den. I would recommend at least one NO shave soap in your den. Cant wait to try out The Noir Et Vanille which has a unique aroma(Bergamot, Loose Black Tea, Jasmine, Strawberry, Vanilla) and BarrBarr is a barbershop scent which is very similar to Tiki Soaps 1920 Barber shop .

    Sink of cool water
    warm water face wash
    williams soap pre soaked
    omega cream
    brush hot soaked
    Dollar tree razor w/assured blade
    woody's a/s
    One Man Show Oud edition

The williams/omega is a pretty good combo. The Dollar Tree razor well...yesterday when I swapped blades and was tightening the butterfly doors there was a pop and the twist end seems to no longer tighten completely. It is tight but not overly so.I think this contributed to some irritation this a.m. I think i was getting some blade chatter but with the China blade it is not a smooth performer in a perfect razor so I am not sure.I think I may have to try a Derby in it tomorrow.

I followed up with a cool face wash and an application of Woody's a/s with a squirt and a half of OUD edition. The One Man Show Oud can be extremely long lasting and can be somewhat cloying. The Woody's tamed it down pretty good and soothed the irritation from the razor well.

    A30E4BBF-993C-4306-A851-5FF0D770B383.jpeg Today’s shave:
    Artisan barbershop soap
    Gillette Bostonian razor
    Rubberset 400 brush
    Israeli blade
    Witch hazel

I purchased some Israeli blades from @Enrico and they arrived today. I use Astra SP blades almost exclusively but wanted to try these and he was very reasonable with his price. They are plenty sharp and I made 2 passes and got a really good shave with no nicks or cuts. This is only my first shave with them and I will post another review after a few more shaves with them but they are really good straight out of the box on my shave.

Is that Brut soap a deodorizer or just plain cleanser?
