Well friends so far today I haven't shaved. Been busy taking Declan in for his one month check-up and running around with Logan. But I owe you all a little something because TGIF! Have a relaxing weekend everyone! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
TGIF!! I'm doing the same as Logan right now. Great minds think alike. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
September 14 I've been somewhat quiet on the shaves this week. Daily shaves have typically been 1 pass plus touch ups using the same set up - Fatboy on 9, Rapira Platinum Lux blade, JR # 160, LPL soap, USB, and Trumper Skin Food. The shaves have been consistently good, but I wanted something better today so I performed two passes. I plan to be the TSD case study of the guy that continues to blade shave while taking a blood thinner. Although I'm not exempt from boo boos, my technique is fairly solid. I should be OK. I've lathered up my B-400 with the Envy White Supreme two-band knot a couple of times so far this week. I allow the knot to dry overnight with the lather in it. I'll repeat this a couple more times to remove the odor, and then I'll put it into the rotation. The brush feels good in hand, and I can already tell it will be a joy to use. I've been on my blood thinner medication for one week, and I had a follow up with my doctor today. I feel good, my stats were good, and my check up went well, so he gave me the go-ahead to resume normal activities. I'll be on the meds for six months, as it takes that long for this type of condition to fully resolve. I go back to see the doc in a couple of months for another follow up. Even though this was a scary ordeal, I feel incredibly blessed. I hope you all have a great weekend, any my prayers are with those in path of Hurricane Florence.
Shaving on blood thinners... waiting for your interview where you tell them “danger is my business”. Take care of yourself Charlie!
That is great news on from the doctor. I’m sure your wife will make sure stay with the program. The Envy White does have quite a odor when new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks Randy. Actually, danger is my middle name. See my CT. Jeff Spicoli...talk about an honorary 30DC'er.
I got an Envy White today. Two wash cycles with Dawn dish soap then two wash cycles with peppermint tea tree oil shampoo and it's good enough for tomorrow morning's shave. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
The smells not gone but tolerable. The peppermint in the shampoo helps. I've found that it takes at least a dozen shaves to completely rid the animal smell. I have twenty shaves with the TGN Finest and it still has a hint of badger odor. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
I found soaking the bristles in warm water with oxy clean helps speed up the process. Just don't get the solution on the brush handle.
Well, it makes my eyes water and stings a little but SHE likes it, so I like it! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
