On vacation to Yellowstone National Park last Fall, I discovered that Idaho was about 20 miles from where we were staying. Since Idaho was the only state I never visited, I made a side trip to complete my goal of visiting/being in all 50 States. Has anyone here been able to visit all 50 states? Thanks...........
In my earlier days as a trucker, I only made it to the lower 48. Still have Alaska and Hawaii on my map to go.
My work has taken me to a fair number of places in the country. So I counted them up but did not count the ones where I never left the airport or when I was with my parents as a little kid. It seems I’ve been to 31 states. Interestingly the only state on the eastern seaboard that I have not been to is North Carolina. I think I’m going to have to plan a family road trip so I can tick off the lower 48. I’ve always wanted to see Alaska and I’m sure Hawaii is gorgeous. I guess I have some planning to do. That’s quite an accomplishment going to all 50. Congrats.
You’ve got me there. I’ve just visited one European country (England) and one Asian country (South Korea)
Nice. I've been to the following places outside the United States. And I'll include US territories in this list. Puerto Rico Turks & Caicos Jamaica Aruba Nassau/Paradise Island Barbados Cancun, Mexico Montreal, Canada Vancouver, Canada St. Catharines, Canada Geneva, Switzerland London, England (2x) Paris, France (2x) Next on the list is Italy.
Ah, but I've never left Europe, so you've got me back! Nice list! Congratz! Me: The Netherlands (duh: born 'n' raised) Belgium (quite often: vacations, passing through, study - Antwerp, in-law family) France (reasonably often) England (reasonably often) Luxembourg ('bout 6 times) Germany (few times as part of vacation in The Netherlands or Luxembourg ; few times passing through) Denmark (twice) Zwitzerland (twice) Ireland Scotland Norway Chechoslovakia Poland Italy Vatican City (yeah, I know, super small - the smallest country in the world in fact, but a country none the less).
I've been to 24 states that I can remember. Elsewhere, I spent two years in Germany when I was in the army. Made it to Austria, Italy, and Corfu while I was over there. More recently Honduras and Malawi, several times each. Several more if I get any say in it.
Twenty three states Canada, UAE, South Africa, Swaziland Not really working at it, just going where ever God leads us.
My Mom has the distinction of having traveled to every continent (yes, even Antarctica.) I like to tease her that she's been every place except the moon. My theory on that is that she didn't like the restaurants there. Great food, but no atmosphere.
The moon is a harsh mistress. Thanks to R.A.H. I'd sign up for a visit and would apply for citizenship. Easier to list the CONUS I haven't lived in or visited. Haven't done the extreme North East or North West states, but I've driven through or lived in most every other. Growing up in Chicago a family vacation brought us into Canada, while another trip to Yosemite made the loop into Cali and a day trip to Juarez, Mexico long before it became a kidnapping and murder center for tourists. A flight out of Miami passed over Cuban airspace on the way to Costa Rica during a Missions trip. I need to renew my passport for an anticipated visit to Australia to see my oldest son and his GF.
So far, as I've wandered our earthly plane... 40 of the 50 United States of America, also Puerto Rico (territory) Germany The Netherlands (both Holland and the East Indies) Belgium France Italy Lichtenstein Canada Mexico Costa Rica
