Great pic, but your Shavette Fu ‘poetry’ was better yesterday...:)

Love the look of that 8 Ball brush, Jim. Really cool, and yes, a nice GIT clone is still fine for yard work!
Great looking ‘D’! That is one Stirling I haven’t tried, Jim. It seems to be one of their few ‘polarizing’ scents.
A great photo and write up, Clint. Hope you got to watch some football today. Are you far enough away from the storms?
Another great commentary, Joseph. I’ve heard the splash isn’t an exact match for the Green cream. Thoughts?
Glad everything went well today, John. My flattened Hendrix sample has finally arrived. Canada Post strikes again...

This is a cool looking blade but it is small, maybe 4/8, and has a nice edge but I find small razors difficult to handle. It showed in the results with 2 weepers and short of my usual close shave. I am back on focus and the doughnut of death has appeared on the MdC, I did not think I would ever see this. This tub of MdC is glass, not plastic so it has been in my den for a while.

    Irritation A Closeness A- Smoothness A+ Sharpness A+

    Razor: Wade and Butcher 4/8?
    Strop: Herold Russian Leather
    Brush: Yaqui
    Pre: Proraso
    Soap: MdC
    AS: Fine AS, Stirling ASB
    Scent: Tom Ford Italian Cypress

Thanks, Jason. It is a nice looking brush. I'm going to finish out the month with it.

Thank you Jason. The storms are north of us with only light rain showers today. Apart from working on the brush handle, I watched a series on Amazon Prime Video for a couple of hours this afternoon

Don't want to step on Joseph's toes. An unsolicited opinion? You know that C.O.Bigelow and Proraso Green are the same product? They both are menthol and eucalyptus. The Green splash is lightly mentholated, but more of a minty scent. It's short lived so if you desire an all day cologne it shouldn't interfere with a stronger other product.

Thanks, Rick. Yup, I knew that Proraso Green and C.O. Bigelow are the same. I can get many Proraso products here at a drug store in my town. I’ve picked up the green cream and the white balm here in the past. The Green splash is one product they don’t carry, and I was curious for opinions, as I’ve heard it is a little different than the cream. Thanks for the info.

Thank you, Jason! It does tend to be a love or hate it scent. I happen to love it.

    SEptember is a Stirling month!

September 16 - Let's do the time warp again!!!!

    Razor - 1912 Gem
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Stirling Bay Rum
Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic
    Finish - Alum

It's just a jump to the left............and then a step to the ri..ri...ri.iiiight. You put your hands on your hips........and pull your knees in tight.....but it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you in say- ay-ayn. Let's do the time warp again!

Ok, got that out of my head. Barely warped this one. Started the shave at 11:59 and it carried over. I'm fast but not a minute man when it comes to running sharp steel over my face. Second shave on the 1912 and the third for the Treet blade. Noisy, smooth, effective, delightful even on the Bay Rum soap. Not a complaint in the world other than my back hurts a bit, I'm tired and I'm happy to be home for the night. Three full passes brought the baby on board again and all's well at Cartel HQ tonight! Hope your week gets off to a fantastic start!

    A Stirling SEptember

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Soap: Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Glacial Lemony Orange aftershave

Nice shave with the beast of an SE, the MMOC. This razor humbled me a couple of years ago and I ended up selling it. Then some recent conversations on here led to @Linuxguile sending one to me. Thank you, Andrew! Today's shave was smooth and comfortable. I concentrated on keeping the cap almost flat against my face and on light pressure. The slick Stirling lather helped, of course, and it all came together nicely. Enjoyable way to start an early Monday morning.

Long day ahead. Our school system band exhibition is tonight after being rescheduled from last week due to rain. It'll be a 16 hour day at least and then up early tomorrow and right back to it. That's the way it goes sometimes.

    Have a great day!

Moving very slowly this morning. At least, I am moving. A wonderful near perfect two pass shave to start the workday. All the hardware and software worked well together. A splash of Balsamica and I off to fight the traffic. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
