Another bit of encouraging news for us guys. Remember the Billy Joel/Christie Brinkley relationship&marriage? Christie is beautiful of course, and Billy? Let's just say, "Billy Joel, you're NO ROBERT REDFORD". We won't mention that they're divorced now, but...for a time they DID tie the knot.

Let me add....he may be no Robert Redford, but his An Innocent Man has been #1 on my "chart" since about when it came out.

Well, it has, but it does give single men something to think about. Course YOU aren't one. :).

A rare second shave in one day for me this evening. I am only at the refinery for a few hours tomorrow before I head to Houston to catch my plane. I dont want to mess with shaving at the gym in the morning, so this set up for a great day to do an evening shave. It was pretty smooth, but I do get a hint of irritation. I did break out the MdC for the first time in a long time, and it was as good as ever. It was a nice way to relax before heading to bed. Have a great evening!

Well I spent the evening playing with my scuttle (saying that anywhere but here would raise some eyebrows) and I made some nice lathers, both room temp and heated with hot tap water. I've always loaded my brush and built my lathers with a back and forth motion. When I was shopping for my first brush I read a circular motion wasn't good for your brush. With my Captains Choice bowl with its flat bottom and vertical sides, no problem. The new scuttle is larger at the top and tapers to the bottom making the surface area at the bottom much smaller than I'm used to. Apparently my back and forth motion wasn't creating enough agitation to build the lather. With a circular motion, alternating cw and ccw, I made some very nice lathers. Happily I found something that works for me.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

    Have a great night!

    Congrats!

I liked cold water shaves with safety razors. Changing over to hot water is now preferred by me for straights. I'm finding closer more comfortable shaves that way.

My after shave routine is simpler too.
