I'm struggling just to keep up reading the posts this month. Lots going on, including ripping out the bathtub and installing a tile shower in our master bathroom. I was partially foolish "volunteering" to do the work myself, yet (hopefully) smart enough not to pay a ton more to a contractor. This could take awhile. The demo is completed. Once I take care of a few minor issues, then the real work begins.

Anyway....great photos and shaves, gents! Even sitting on the sidelines, I still love to read through the posts.

Day 5 with the E2. Had a nice 3 pass shave this morning. 2nd use of the Arlington and it performs well with a very classic British scent. Today’s Stirling product isn’t the software, obviously, but rather the knot I extracted from its handle (sorry again butterscotch fans). As others have commented on, the Stirling Finests are excellent knots.
I’ll use the E2 for another day or so and then move on to another SE. Andrew has the assessment bang on- these later E2s are marginally more aggressive than the E3. Not sure I need to keep both.
    Have a great day all!

I think your Stirling knot looks terrific in that handle Jason. I love butterscotch handles, but find the Stirling rather garish.

Thank you, Clint! This week is moving right along. Wednesdays are my only free afternoons this time of year with practices and games after school the other days. I look forward to getting home on Wednesday to catch up on things there.

Thank you, Bruce! Good luck with your project.

    Razor: RazoRock Game Changer .84-P
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Stainless
Brush: Doug Korn Stubby (35mm, Carrier Class)
    Soap: Stirling Pumpkin Spice
    AS: Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB

A slight detour from SEptember. I got the new Game Changer .84-P base plate in yesterday and couldn't wait to give it a go. Also I recently got in some fall themed samples from Stirling so decided to give Pumpkin Spice a try too. This month I've been getting amazing lathers from Stirling and this morning was no exception. I decided to face lather this morning, because well, face lathering with a 35mm knot is pretty fun. I had gobs of super shiny, slick, dense, yogurt like lather in no time. Pumpkin Spice smells like pumpkin pie, and that's ok to me. Now I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving! Back to the shave. With the increased .84mm blade gap and slightly more blade exposure the Game Changer really performs like an ultra premium razor. During the shave I kept thinking man this is smooth, but its really efficient too! Two passes with a little touch up brought home the baby! For those that have a Rex I would say its comparable to setting 4.5, and just as smooth! Ill give the GC another go on Friday before I return to SEptember, but based on first impressions the .84-P base plate was what the Game Changer was always meant to be. Have a great day my friends!

And for those of you who need a little help getting over the hump:

Bruce @FaceScraper, good luck with the renovations! And don't forget to post pics here so we can follow along and admire it all when it's done! Drop in whenever you can -- we'll be here. Also thanks for updating us all about Jared @PickledNorthern.

@Spock, I would echo what Bruce said here regarding Stirling. I am one of the minor soapaholics here, with about 80 soaps and creams in my current inventory and maybe another 30 that I have tried. I only have one tub of Stirling but if it isn't the slickest soap or cream I have ever used, it is definitely close to it. In fact, even though I have years worth of soap, I plan to add a few more tubs of Stirling -- it's that good (and reasonably priced too.). And based on all the reviews, if I was in the market for a brush, the Stirling offerings would be high on my list, especially the badger.

I have enjoyed watching the journey. once I get a few loaner razors back I will probably start passaround with some stuff most have probably not used. A auto strop A will be in that.
