Cedar & Bourbor sounds really, really good. I am having a look at maybe buying this bowl & soap. I haven't decided yet, but it's tempting and I could use it with my Spice & Wood shaving or with Dolce & Gabbana The One or hopefully it can match up with Tom Ford for men or perhaps it could sub in sometimes when using Chanel Egoiste? Cedar & Bourbon seems like a scent that will pair well with a multitude of scents.

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- Semogue Special Edition 2012 Badger/Boar knot 24/55mm knot
    Soap/Cream:- A&E ~ Grecian Horse
    Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Razor/Blade:- Muhle Rocca R96 / Vintage NOS Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) #3 end of life
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic / Lucky Tiger Face Moisturizer

I'm totally shocked the vintage NOS Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) has worn out a lot fast using the Muhle Rocca razor which doesn't make any sense to me at all, anybody owns a Muhle Rocca with Gillette Super Stainless (spoiler) what are you're thought doesn't play very well together.

Bath Soap - Pre de Provence Sandalwood (quad-milled)
Razor - Antique Gillette ABC "Empire" Razor circa 1908-1912 (fully restored/re-plated in rhodium by Razor Emporium)
Blade - [IMG] - Fresh Blade
Shave Brush - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection fitted with Synthetic Knot manufactured by Frank Shaving (replaced by jimjo1031)
    Pre-shave Oil - Lather & Wood "unscented"
Shave Soap - Vintage Ralph Lauren Safari
Shave Mug - Ralph Lauren Safari Collection
Post Shave Balm - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Skin Food
Deodorant - Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood
Fragrance - Ralph Lauren Safari EDT

***EDIT - Again, the ancient ABC razor seems to have a poorly engineered angle. It's not comfortable during the shave. The super-sharp Feather blade prevents the tugging I got with other blades, but it just seems to have too much friction with either the super-slick vintage Safari soap or the protective Trumpers cream. I did my best to changeup my angles to find a more comfortable stroke. I got a few weepers, as expected, as usual with this razor. However, the upside is that the post-shave marble feel of my skin is about as good as it gets. I had to spray on some mentholated "Shave Den" witch-hazel to quell the post-shave irritation before applying the Trumpers balm.

I still love the look of this razor and the results of my shave is good/solid. I typically give a ranking of 7.5-to-8 out of 10, ONLY because the post-shave results are good, but the points lost are from the discomfort and additional unneeded friction caused by a poorly engineered blade angle, forcing me to constantly be mindful of what angle I'm using...no different than if I were using a bare blade. I think that because these old razors were originally engineered to work with thicker blades, that could be the reason, or perhaps it really is a poor design that focused mostly on 'looks' first, rather than function. That's the story of my history with women too. I picked too many lookers and not any keepers. lol I guess we all grow up eventually though.

    Cold Water Wash
    Tabac Shave Soap
    Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger
    Supply Provision
    Schick Proline B20
    CWR
    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger brush. I did two passes with the Supply Provision Safety Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Regarding their bowl, I'd read on another forum where a user discovered some mildew under his puck. With that information I applied a sealant to mine, there is some manner of glaze on the inside from the factory, but I coated the entire thing, inside and out (not the wood parts), and I rinse and dry the bowl after use, as well as letting the puck dry outside on an edge and the wood to dry separately, once all is dry put it all back together the next day for storage.
