Switched to the E3 this morning. Loaded in a fresh Personna and had a super nice shave. 3 passes has left me smooth. I’ll use it another day or two for sure, but I already know that I prefer this trusty injector to my new E2. Marginally so, but just no great reason to keep both I think. Any late model E2 fans out there, pay attention to the next TSD raffle.
I’m not sure Clubman is a good match for the Coniferous, but I figured if you are going to smell like you just chainsawed 4 evergreens, you might as well smell like you just punched someone on your way to the forest.
    Have a great day all!

Survey Update-Only 9 days left in the month, and I am unable to project a winner. This is bad. Lather Catcher looks safe, but he's going to have to widen his lead to impress me.

Thanks Jim! It's a whole 'nother technique to learn. I ought to drop some questions in The Chub Club thread. Those guys have it figured out. Randy knows and he's not afraid to speak truth to wisdom.
The good news is - you can have whatever you like!

There's something to be said for the all-natural look from the 1970s. :)

Slightly off-topic... A while back, I was doing an Internet search for "vintage shaving". Somewhere buried in the results was a video of a young lady (at the time of filming, anyway) who shaves herself bare. The shaving forum relevant part was that she made her lather in an Old Spice mug and shaved with a Tech. Apparently, she was competent in her skills as well as she actually shaved quite briskly.

Well, if you read my post inN B18, you know why I had to, as they say in racing talk, "hurry up and place my bet". Thanks for the compliment. But I'm still doing the 2019 Stoylin Tony Awards, and other than one or two TSD store purchases(for the same reason now as I ordered from Local Gent), I'm not doing any purchasing this year.

Just making fun of how lots of folks call it a 'manly' scent, Andrew. I shouldn't make bad jokes at 7am, I guess.
If you want a good laugh, read some of the Amazon reviews on it.

Well, this one is going to be tough to top.

What a shame that most of you will never have the opportunity to experience Yardley Black Label :angry017:
I say this without gloating, but with true sincerity. :signs002:
I scored this soap after an exhaustive search. The Black Label AS is available on that famous auction site,
but to find the soap is next to impossible. The owners simply do not want to part with it

and I 100% concur. This baby is staying in my den until the very end (mine or the soap's) :happy097:
If this commentary sounds like "gushing", it's because I am.
    Brilliant in every aspect.
What a glorious knot the B5 is. I had a B2 a while back and after having sold it :angry032: immediately regretted the decision.
Sort of. The garish, blue-metallic handle was simply not to my liking.
    Enter Thäter Premium Boar :angry019:.
Now, I know many of you like, or even love your Thäter Premium Boar brushes, and to you I say: "Good on you mate!"
Mine was absolute garbage. Scritchiest brush I have ever encountered. Would NOT break in.
Upside down bristles. Bristles that appeared to have been "cut" at the factory.
    What a load of trash.
Our friend @Jayaruh kindly removed the knot and off it went to Scott for a re-knotting.
    Results: :happy093:
1908 Gillette Old Type. Superb craftsmanship. Beautiful razor.
You MUST take care to assure that the blade is aligned.

3 pass BBS with SO much residual slickness, that after a thorough rinsing. And I mean thorough,
I took the razor and made some "test" small strokes on my skin and friends, I kid you not, I could have mad a complete pass
as long as the area was wet. Unbelievable.
Newbies: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME :rolleyes005:
The Yardley AS finished a most awesome shave.
For those interested, here is a scent description:

True story- I used to live in a town on the Alaska Highway. Heard a story on local radio there years ago about some folks who were doing the 'roadkill cafe' thing. The radio host asked them how they could guarantee 'freshness'. The guy responded that they go out early in the morning and put a chalk circle around any roadkill on the highway. They then went back out at the end of the day and said that any dead critters who didn't have chalk around them were considered fresh. The sad thing is that actually makes some sense...
They were selling 'menu' t-shirts that were pretty funny- Weasel in a Diesel Sauce, Grill-marked Moose, etc.
