I almost bid on that one. You stole it for $14.50. I decided not to, since i have one just like it. Well done.
My last appointment today was just down the street from an antiques store. Time for a look I found this in the back of a case with a low price on it. I think it might be an Otto Busch. Time for a little research.
Imperial Razor circa 1886-1938 Warranted Germania Cutl.Works. Germany. I liked the design on the blade, and it's a 13/16th inch. There is tarnish, but very little pitting.
Love those Imperials - really cool set of different engravings. Do you have some of the other ones Scott?
I have restored several Imperials. The ones I worked on had great steel.Took very keen and smooth edges.
I know this is not a a SR, but most will recognize the name. A NOS counter top display of Wade & Butcher DE blades. W&B DE safety razors were marketed and sold in the early 1900s. Just wanted to share this rare and exciting find of a familiar name
Have you opened a pack, to see what they look like, and what condition they are in? BTW, very cool. ...
I carefully opened one and was in excellent condition, no rust and still sharp. I do have a W&B safety razor with a few packs of blades which I have used. For being 100 old steel, they gave a good shave. I much rather shave with my W&B straight razors
A nice score of two fine German blades, a Dorko #60 and a Revisor from the days of C. Friedr. Schmidt. The Dorko is 13/16 and the Revisor is 5/8, both round tip. Do not know if they are original, the Revisor has nice translucent green scales with inlay. Both have etched blades. The etch, in French on the Dorko translates to "The hairdressers favorite" and the Revisor is etched " Best Silver Steel Solingen". I will give them a good home.
Gentleman’s black-and-white (well cream) pair of 1st gen Filly 14s. I’ve been a few weeks in acquiring and having these spruced up a bit at Alfredo’s. They were in exceptionally good original condition with just some light tarnish but I wanted someone better than me to do what little work that they needed lol. They came out very well, and I’m not sure that the Doble Temple had eve been honed. Both were accompanied by their original boxes. Cheers, Steve
